The purpose of this "Conference Room" is to serve as a forum for the in-depth discussion of specific aspects of lone atrial fibrillation. The Conference Room is not meant for the discussion of general questions about LAF; such questions should be posted on the LAF BULLETIN BOARD

All "presentations" made at the conference will be preserved in the form of a .pdf file (Adobe Acrobat Reader) containing all postings made on a specific subject. These CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS will be available to all and will hopefully play an important part in solving the LAF puzzle.

At the moment I envision that each subject will be open for discussion for a two-week period. At the end of the period the submissions (postings) will be collated and published in .pdf format and a new subject will be introduced in the Conference Room. Everyone is invited to participate and to submit ideas for new subjects to be discussed.

There are only two rules for participating:

1. Stick to the subject under discussion
   
2. Treat "brainstorms" and anecdotal evidence with respect � they may provide important clues. Scientific evidence supported by references are obviously desirable underpinnings of a posting; however, we are unlikely to make progress by just regurgitating old "establishment" dogmas.
