Shannon said... Restoring critical minerals can be a big help for many, but should not be thought if as a 'cure' Yet - we have many pages of testimony from former afibbers who cured their AF by optimizing the electrolytes/minerals (as one example) that were low or imbalanced by other factors... such as a high calcium content in local drinking water that overpowered magnesium.by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks, Tom - for your explanation. It makes perfect sense that eliminating a grain (actually any grain) since they all metabolize to acid ash would be potassium sparing. That's well supported by basic biochemistry science. Be well, Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Barb - as Dennis wisely mentions, post ablation it's definitely important to keep up with your electrolyte supplementation as the ablation does nothing to correct imbalances or replete that which is deficient. You've had more than your share of stress, Barb, and stress depletes magnesium easily, quickly and conistently, so maybe focus on shoring that up if you haven't pushed tby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks, Ralph, for taking the time to find that info. Very interesting. A lot of people aren't aware of the caffeine content for the size of the cup. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
People with problems in their methylation cycle may not metabolize sulfur well and could be reactive to MSM. If you decide to try it, my advice is to start with a low dose...or even half of the recommended dose at first to be sure you tolerate it. Don't increase doses rapidly and don't introduce any other new supplement at the same time so evaluate only one substance at a time. Iby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Josiah - The incidence of hypothyroidism in this country is high and while not everyone develops AF as a result, it certainly can be contributory for many people. I'm not glad you have it, but glad you were able to recognize the need for assistance. If you follow the many iodine links and reports here, you'll learn that by repleting your iodine stores helps restore thyroid function aby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Hi Josiah - Sure. I'll dig out some of my files on the posts I offered on pH and alkalinity. There is one here in the "back room" talking about Alkalinity, pH, healing, voltage etc... you can review this and I'll get back with other links. Ralph - That was the first Google response I found...... you may be correct... and it could vary depending on the beans, the size of the cup etc. If you have the time to research more... let us know what you find. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Joe - Congratulations on your progress with controlling the PACs and weight loss. The amount of potassium you take may be fine or you may need more depending on your dietary intake of hidden salt in foods plus how much potassium from foods your typical daily diet supplies. Sammy - Good news on your heart report! Consider using the topical or transdermal magnesium oil (gel) right on that area as often as needed for the fasculations. It works well for muscle spasms and sore muscles, plus delivers a dose of magnesium as well. You should be able to find it locally as it's popular in Europe. Hi Tom - as I mentioned previously .. when I did my heroics prior to ablation and cut back (gradually) from 300 mg flec daily and I was able to maintain NSR until ablation with only 50 mg at night. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Points to consider… Some afibbers do tolerate caffeine. The study indicates a low caffeine intake is 500 mg A cup of coffee is said to contain 95 mg of caffeine. So about 5 cups. My experience is that I don’t react well to even one cup of caffeinated coffee so the 5-cup recommendation would put me in the ER. That was before ablation. Post ablation, if I drink coffee at all, it is decaby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Informing the unsuspecting public about environmental toxins should not be classified as ‘bashing’ but might be more appropriately considered to be in the ‘whistleblower camp’ or a public service contribution since the obfuscation on toxic effects of fluoride has gone on far too long. Liz - I agree - the toxic chemical artificial sweeteners, the aluminum cans and the reactivity of the phosphoric acid with the can and plus the cola was undoubtedly made with fluoridated water which helps release aluminum and add to the brain toxicity. Diet sodas are bad news. Drinking a diet cola along with even a partially nutritious meal negates the whole thing. Jackieby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM

The research on the neurotoxicity of fluoride in my reports came mainly from the research of neurosurgeon, Russell Blaylock and from the list of over 250 study references to damage by fluoride offered in the book Healing is Voltage (Tennant) plus the science offered by the Fluoride Action Network. Hi Tom - My comment to your opinion/response (1/10/14) about fluoride and fluorine-containing drugs doing harm to the body is that my report is based on the medical observances of those researching the adverse effects of various neurotoxins such as fluorine/fluoride that are found easily in abundance in the environment, dental products and treatments and in a number of popular Rx drugs.
