In my notes from a teleconference on merits/antimicrobial properties of nano-particle silver, the following comments were made about why antibiotics sometimes aren't effective. Bacteria can destroy antibiotics by creating targeted enzymes. Bacteria can modify their structure to hide from antibiotics or eliminate sites for the antibiotics to attach to. Bacteria can alter their metaboliby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Nancy - My response to you was poorly worded... I realize you aren't using the concentrate....but I thought maybe "for you" even the diluted version contained too much of the concentrate. I'd try diluting it more and then eventually increasing slowly more of the concentrate into your filtered water. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Mike - thanks for posting your experience with the MgT form. I've yet to try it but the brain support enhancement is attractive. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Lisa - Nasal spray delivey or topical applications of silver are very effective... fungus included. It's well known to work on Candida which can affect the body from the mouth/nasal cavity to the anus. It can take time and if the Candida overgrowth is extensive, the Herxheimer reaction or 'die off'' can be severe. Jackieby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Neroli - thanks for telling your story. My heart goes out to you and your struggle. Dealing with AF on top of everything else must be overwhelming. I can understand and relate to food sensitivities since at one time, I had IBS and was reactive to some foods as well. It wasn't until I was treated successfully for leaky gut syndrome that I began to have relief but I still need to be carefuby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Lou- there is a lot published lately indicating that everyone should be taking the MK7 to help avoid arterial calcification issues so when you get off the warfarin, it makes sense to continue on with MK7 at a higher dose. I've been using the 90 mcs for a long time, plus I get an additioinal amount from a vitamin D 3 compound. At my age, it just makes good sense to add that protection.by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
NeroliB.. good that you like and can tolerate avocados. Sorry if I missed your explanations as to why you need the diuretics and have impaired kidney function but if you care to elaborate, perhaps there is a detail that may help you that hasn't been covered. Your food sensitivities are caused by a known or unknown factor which limits your dietary intake? Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
I recently read a report stating that Norwegian women are known to drink a lot of milk and as a result have increased incidence of brittle bones and osteoporosis. This would indicate that they are probably magnesium deficient... calcium dominant... which affects heart cells and then arrhythmia. The article was emphasizing the importance of vitamin K2 MK7 to direct calcium into the bones where iby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Lou - warfarin interference is seen with doses around 100 micrograms of MK7....so you'll want to stay below that. The MenaQ7 people have research indicating that those on warfarin should keep dosages around 45 mcg to be safe. I've also seen comments that doses up to 90 mcgs is typically compatible and does not increase your INR. If you intend to use higher dosing, you may haby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Alex... glad you have no aches and pains. The test papers are only a casual guide...not very precice but just an indicator. Being happy is extremely important and beneficial. Happy = alkalinity. I think the important thing is to eat well, hydrate very well - as Erling says with water free of chemicals including fluoride - and supplement with supportive nutrients in the areas where you knby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
NereoliB - keep in mind that serum potassium fluctuates frequently. Probably hourly or less, so the measurement serves as a guide but the tipoff is that you converted with additional IV potassium... so obviously, you are wasting potassium. My discovery of the benefits of and my experience with “colloidal silver” goes back about 20 years. At the time, there were only a few brands available at the local HF store and ordering via the Internet was not the convenience it is today. Having attended local health seminars, I learned about and read the history of the antimicrobial properties of silver. Back then, the fine distinctions betby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Alex... depends on whether you feel totally 'fine'...no aches or pains, no other symptoms related to acidic tissue residue, etc. As we age, we need adequate protein to support new cell production and retain muscle strength. The ideal diet consumes 80% food from the alkaline forming group and 20% from the acidic group to maintain a healthy pH that then relates to voltage to keep cells hby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
You beat me to it, Erling. If I had an infection and rather than go the a/b route, I'd be guzzling the nano-silver. In fact, I have two bottles on hand, just in case. Jackieby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Liz - Probably nothing I can offer will help you be less skeptical about the fact that it has long been known and accepted that we can modify or control many common genetic expressions that can cause disease or ill health. We often see posts indicating that afibbers are told the cause of their afib is genetic. As stated in a Dec. ‘11 post, the missing portion of that statement is: “While some individuals may have a genetic or familial tendency toward developing atrial fibrillation, the world now knows that by understanding Epigenetics, we are no longer held hostage to a genetic link since we are able to controby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
There is considerable vagueness about what ‘raising pH’ or alkalizing actually means to one’s system. The actual goal is to improve alkalinity status in tissue. Systemic acidity means “stored acid wastes in cells and, potentially, all body tissue.” Tissue acid waste accumulations can occur in all organs and glands but typical assessments measure fluid pH (saliva and urine) which can change eby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Thank you Erling for the study link. It certainly is a published study, but I find it difficult to equate a controlled lab experiment using radioactive calcium to what actually occurs in the human mouth as a result of ‘uncontrolled’ intake of sodium bicarbonate. No Barry, I see nothing wrong with Paul Mason's website wherein he quotes from the related science, but since dental is my field of expertise I definitely know that once enamel is formed, you can't add calcium to it... unless it is in a weak area that now can be treated topically with a special product... one name, Enamelon, comes to mind. this relates to how and when enamel is formedby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Barry - my eyes opened a bit when I read the claim that sodium bicarbonate increases calcium uptake in the enamel. That is absolutely a false claim and impossible....unless there is a specific formulation that enhances adding calcium to weakened tooth structure such as in areas of eroded dentin.
