Yes - Good observation, Wolfpack.......always remember the healthy kidney qualifier. Remember, too, that when there is optimal Mg in heart cells, then potassium is what regulates the time between beats and low potassium can cause PACs skipped beats. It's easy to get plenty of potassium, but can be quite difficult (for some) to maintain optimal IC Mg.... often due to high stress whiby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Madeline – I have no argument with you about the many benefits of the supplements you take and the reasons why. However, when you start a new medication (especially, a blood thinner), for safety and to give the new med the opportunity to function as intended, you must eliminate any potential interferences or complications from nutritional supplements. Hello, MadMax and Welcome. What are the supplements in your routine along with dosages? Hello David - Good to see that your date with Dr. Natale is arriving soon. I agree with Wolfpak about stopping the natural thinners when you begin the Rx anticoagulant. You can still use small doses of the fish oil but the Lumbrokinase and Ginkgo should be stopped. You don't want to risk having bleeding problems. I'll be watching for your news. Thank you Shannon, for your observations from your personal experiences. Obviously, it makes sense about the genetic wasting influence. I had childhood glomerulonephritis and was told that I could have problems with kidney function as an adult or senior. My AF didn't begin until I was 59 and most likely that was at least contributory to managing electrolytes appropriately. I'vby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
