Ron B - The damage done by gluten sensitivity to the intestinal villi is certainly something to recognize and deal with. In the recent report titled Nutrient Absorption, GI Interferences, SIBO, Biofim and Atrial Fibrillation, I noted the use of the highly beneficial Saccharomyces boulardii. Tom - I agree that not all supplements are useful across the board for every person. However, for specific ailments many are extremely beneficial and. typically, there are studies to support those outcomes. Cindy and all.... read labels carefully. There is absolutely no reason to add any type of 'sweetener' to ribose as it is already mildly sweet....so any additional sweetener should be viewed as suspect in an attempt to dilute or adulterate the dosage to charge more for less. I'll chime in here to say that the addition of ribose to my regimen has been nothing short of amazing... and essential. This is specific to my biochemical uniqueness and we all have to find our ZONE. I need at least 10 grams of ribose daily for overall energy. The fibromyalgia pain I once had is totally gone. Randy - I was a mostly vagal afibber and I learned that when my HR was low.. 50 or less, I would easily slip into AF. The lesson for me was before I would consciously do an 'resting' activity such as sitting to relax and read, or even going to bed, I would do free-weight arm exercises to elevate my heart rate. Once I cultivated that habit, I didn't slump into the low HR and tby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Murray - I've used a VitaMix for many years to make my own veggie drink blends. I like it because of the bonus of using the entire vegetable or fruit... so you have the benefits of fiber which is very important. It's quick and easy. Fresh taste is outstanding. You just have to be sure you wash the veggies well since you eat raw... I typically soak in a GSE solution, wash and rise.by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
The latest news about statins causing diabetes, isn’t really news at all, but the FDA likes to “stay on top” of things to make us feel as if we they have our best interests at heart and we are “protected” from harmful drugs. We should be smarter than the FDA in making the connection…. If you take a statin… read on. Shannon - that's well said. I saw first-hand those physical appearance symptoms as a dental hygienest when I worked almost 'nose-to-nose' with patients. We have promoted using LS V8 for the added potassium chloride content which can be a convenient source. Is it the best source? Probably not. Nel - is anyone looking at your ears? There is a condition where the little crystals in the inner ear (cochlea ) sometimes need to be redirected back into the canals... Lisa - possibly before you began reading here, we discussed the pros and cons of LS V8 and did mention the same facts you bring up again. I'm glad to see it. One issue with LS V8 is the addition of potassium chloride which is well known to be a stomach irritant for some individuals. As Shannon comments, the polyphenol/antioxidant benefits in dark cocoa are well known... however, the promoters of dark chocolate benefits seem to conveniently forget that no one eats pure unsweetened cocoa... and adding the sugar is the culprit that is unhealthy. Then there is the consideration of the extra work the body has to do to try to eliminate or bind up and excrete the toxins that result from smoking. Inflammation is often a result.
