For newer members ... just an FYI... RE: Amiodarone …. Be aware that in past posts, several afibbers reported not doing well on amiodarone. For some cases there may be no choice, but it would be wise to check out all possible options first. Hi Mike - I'm glad you did convert and that you now have clarification on what the activity was. Most likely, every heart is slightly different in response to the burns and irritation. I'm sure it was not at all pleasant. Hopefully, that will settle down and you'll have a smooth recovery for the remaining time. Sending you good positive thoughts and kind regards, Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello Catherine - I can appreciate your concern as I have talked with many afibbers who have that same great fear, but they also want to regain some semblance of normal life and move on. I have no magic words for you, other than the obvious which is to become familiar with the procedure so you know what to expect and become a patient of the best Electrophysiologist available to you. Hi Liz... sorry for the late response. I know nothing about Dr. Perlmutter's formulation of this form of magnesium, but typically his products are good and reliable... I believe he works with Garden of Life formulators so they are conscientious about purity and such. Does the label indicate how much magnesium you'd be getting with a dose? Hi Lance - There is a lot of research that indicates probiotics are important and do work to balance out GI harmony but appropriate testing is an underlying factor that goes along with a treatment protocol. Antibiotics are well known to cause GI bacteria disruption (both good and bad) and often, testing isn't done to make sure that the good bacteria are replenished after a/b treatmentby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Since this forum is about helping to stabilize and keep hearts calm, it makes sense to understand the fundamental properties regarding the function of magnesium and calcium. To recommend taking calcium supplements without knowing intracellular levels of each would be, to put it mildly, “risky” since that can result in an increase of ectopy or outright arrhythmia – especially if one is alby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Beardman - Good you are getting rid of the excess calcium since anytime there is too much intracellular calcium... which is almost always the case with afibbers, there is also the finding that intracellular magnesium is low. Miss Sunshine - Eleven years after my first Natale ablation, I developed both Afib and A-flutter... so had the second ablation in TX with Dr. Natale (August 2014) during which he isolated the LAA. Hi Smackman.... Sorry you are struggling. I realize you are between a 'rock and hard place' with your situation. Yes - the timing of eating and then reclining definitely can influence reflux and often subsequent heart activity.
