Erling - I just posted my thanks to you, Barry and Mark in the original Must See Video Thread... great information. Thanks for taking the time to locate and post all this good information. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Barry, Mark, Erling, et al.... now that I am home and have some time at the computer for reading, I'm truly enjoying this fascinating amount of information churned up in this thread .... thanks so much for the links and input. Just reinforces my high opinion of the benefits of vitamin C. Thanks, also Mark for being the 'devil's advocate'.... that debate tactic typically sby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
John - you might check for current info on Celebrex and the MI risk... here's a clip from one website. Very often there are highly successful natural remedies rather than drugs with side effects. Jackie Do Celebrex users have other options to help ease their pain and inflammation? Yes, other options do exist. Fortunately, reputable vitamin and supplement manufacturers offer a host of natuby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Marian - again - I apologize for a poorly composed post. I've had a total of 7 breakthroughs. I do take the ubiquinol form along with a Q nano form. I'm experimenting with the ubiquinol to see what amount seems to help with the mitochondrial dysfunction and muscle weakness. I'm finding that I feel very well on 200 mg daily of the ubiquinol and 100 of the Nano form of ubiquinonby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
I apologize for such a stupid title... I was still on Texas time apparently when I posted this morning.... It is not my 7th ablation.... rather my 7th anniversary of a successful Natale ablation. Phew. Some days are tougher than others... this one makes me think I should stay off the computer until my brain is fully in gear! Thanks for laughing with me. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Montos - I am a big fan of vitamin D supplementation and over several years, I have my level maintaining at 70 or slightly more... however, that did not stop my AF breakthrough post ablation and I attribute that to insufficient potassium levels. Now that I am watching carefully, I don't expect more events unless I become sloppy with the supplement intake. For many other reasons, everyonby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Liz - it all depends on the amount of healthy bone in the extraction site.... if there is plenty, then immediate can be done. If not, then it takes months to fill in with good bone and often they will add bone fill to help. There are many offices offering 'same day' implants and some results are disasters because there isn't adequate bone or there is infection present... but theby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Bill -the citrate form is preventive. You'll just have to see what dosage you tolerate. Some find that the forms other than the gluconate cause bowel tolerance issues as well...so maybe try the Rx dose as the mainstay (always take with food) and then the K+ foods....or maybe a blend of the citrate and gluconate... the gluconate form is the least likely to cause stomach or bowel issues...by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Well, here I am: seven years today after my successful Natale ablation on 11/12/03. ItÂ’s interesting that I forgot the exact date and had to look it up! Nice to no longer dwell on those details. As I reported previously, I began having breakthrough events during the fourth year post-ablation. Fortunately, I am able to convert efficiently with the PIP protocol. The total is 7 breakthroughsÂ…by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Belinda - that may not be enough magnesium... try more... read The Strategy about tissue saturation etc. Listen to your body and you'll know when it's time to decide about ablation... very often the decision is much easier when nothing works and your quality of life is very low. Otherwise, it's prudent to consider and try all of the many other options since anytime a procedure tby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Belinda... keep increasing your potassium... but also find a list of the highest potassium-containing foods and make sure you eat a carload of those as well every day... avoiding the ones that are sweet like bananas and other sweet fruit. Potassium needs to have a good base of intracellular magnesium so it can function and not cause more AF so be sure your magnesium intake is optimal.... I'by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Andrea - definitely ask the dental professional doing the procedure about the aspirin; typically they want you to be off for several days. Also, request that they use the local anesthetic that does not contain epinepherine so you don't risk stimulating an AF event with the epi. They have both types so it is not a problem. Carol.... it is definitely a problem...you just have to keep trying various things to see what you can tolerate. The vitamin C issue is important...but for afibbers, suggesting to drink orange juice in the quantity that would provide therapeutic amounts would be ill-advised because of the high sugar content and then the need to metabolize it... ie, it utilizes magnesium and potassium ... so in a person already low in these electrolytes such as the typical afibber, then adding a regimen of orange juice daiby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
