Key issue and often overlooked or not emphasized strongly enough. As for your newly-ablated heart, just give it time and do some very positive thinking about how wonderful it will be when your heart calms down. Be well, Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Joe - Unless you are extremely sensitive, the maltodextrin probably won't be an issue. You can google BUN interpretation of results to see what various labs indicate on what the normal range is. My doctor typically looks at Creatinine and that Creatine/BUN ratio. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Joe - What advice does your EP give you about your HR and the drugs you take? My HR post ablation was definitely higher (around 80 bpm - whereas normal is mid 60's for me) for several months and then normalized. I was only given Flecainide along with the warfarin and of course, I was back on the Essential Trio and other supplements immediately. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Josiah - one of the warnings about arginine is that if you had the chicken pox, you are apt to have it stimulate a an outbreak of shingles or herpes simplex I or II. The remedy is to take lysine to counteract that...although I don't have a protocol that states how much ... if it's 1:1 or something else. Ken - sometimes when there is great doubt or uncertainty, the approach to take absolutely nothing unless recommended by the medical establishment makes sense...especially if it's going to cause the patient additional anxiety and concern. Then if something goes wrong, you can blame only your medical team and nothing else. For some individuals, that may be a comfort. If you are anxious oby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ken - muscle twitching is a classic sign of low magnesium.... and as you know that is associated with AF, for sure. The same would be true for muscle cramping; this happens when calcium dominates and the cells can't relax. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ken - I still take just about the same supplements; added some additional ones and reduced the Omega 3's to around 3-4 grams daily. I needed to work on adrenal fatigue issues and also thyroid support so those supplements were added and others, changed or eliminated. When my vitamin D level tested low, I began supplementing with that as well. My main protocol continues to be on the corby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ken - I posted my story and what I did about supplements for my ablation in a post "Calming My Heart"... <; My ablation was nearly 7 years ago... 11/03. Today, if I offered the same post, I'd definitely focus on getting in substantially more potassium from both food and supplemental sources. Ken - here's MSM info that was in a previous post.. MSM increases the effectiveness of the body's natural anti-inflammatory hormone, cortisol. MSM also inhibits proliferation of fibroblasts.8 Excessive amounts of fibroblasts are produced in the swelling process and lead to scar tissue. Ken - I've used Zyflamend for years and think it is among the best products available for reducing inflammation. One thing you have to be sure of is the purity of the herbals and I trust New Chapter to provide that.
