Hans - Several years ago, I attended a health convention and one of the speakers was a key researcher in the Zeolite product. I may have posted on it at the time. The Zeolite acts like a 'cage' and entraps mercury and other 'heavy' metals and is then carried out of the body intact without losing any along the way, supposedly. This ACZ is either an improvement or a modificaby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Treat Magnesium Deficiency by Removing Mercury by Lyn Hanshew, M.D.by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Glen - you said: "Some evenings the afib shows up before the meal, just to remind me it's time to eat I guess!" This is classic hypoglycemia and is typically brought on by glucose handling issues...often initially started by inability of magnesium to access inside cells because of cell envelope damage (trans fats) and rectified by many months of Omega 3 fatty acids and eliminatinby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Debbie - my experience was mixed results with exercise to abort afib. Past discussions involved whether the person was vagal or adrenergically mediated. I was mostly vagal and sometimes, in the evening, if I became too sedentary after eating, I'd slip into afib because of the very low vagal (parasympathetic tone). On those occasions when I could 'catch' it in time by getting upby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Steve Ortega.... I'm smiling for you. I'll be watching for your progress reports. Be well, Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Shaun - Thanks for your good news. I'm very pleased for your success. As we know from vast personal experiences and testimonials, AF can be uniquely individual. While it typically has a common thread such as an electrolyte imbalance, there are often other subtle influences that turn out to be major ones for that particular individual. Claudia - Not boring at all, but rather an important perspective. Since everyone is different, everyone will have different reponses so thanks for posting your observations. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Glen - Have you been able to pin down what it is with mealtime that seems to trigger the afib? Too much salt? Any chance of preservatives or chemical additives, MSG? Is it always the same food? (sensitivity?).... Maybe lack of digestive enzymes? If afib seems to be a common occurrence, then the trigger is probably connected to that point in time... or you waited too long to eat and a hypby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Erling and Steve - thank you both for a very meaningful dialogue on this very important topic. Steve, I think your analogy of Yin and Yang is extremely appropriate. I've found that being able to 'detach' from the situation and view it analytically... as Erling did when he observed his erratic SN function, allows for finding a reasonable, logical solution. It does take time, pby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Alex - most likely, a lot depends on where the "wild" waters are. The Alaskan red is reported to have the best Omega 3 rating as well as a low Hg content. Just remember to watch the sodium content of canned fish. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Okay, Mike - you may want to increase the taurine. Since your Na is already low, then the Ca becomes the important focus... extra taurine could help retain more IC magnesium and in so doing, the Ca will be automatically shut out. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Robert - Okay then - as long as you know you are clear from blockage then your pain is undoubtedly the aftermath of a very difficult heart workout during the AF. We just want to be sure people don't ignore chest pain as 'routine'... as I said, I never had pain but was often light headed and breathless from the lack of good blood flow out of the heart... but all my tests were clearby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Rich - It's always so very encouraging to see a post of ablation success. Long may you stay in NSR. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Barb - no, I don't think 3000 mg is too much... but based on my results, apparently I don't need to be worried about strictly adhering to the 3000 daily which is often the norm for many afibbers. I will however, keep supplementing adequately because taurine is good for the eyes as well. As posted in the taurine review, What about Taurine? Robert - I'd want to be sure that you can pass a thalium stress test to be sure you have no arterial blockage. In the last couple of years before my ablation, I had a series of long and difficult afib events, some lasting 27 hours only to start again after a 4-hour respite. I never had heart or chest pain in that area. It always pays to be certain. In looking at your supplement list,by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Geln - as you are noting, optimizing the key nutrients to enable your heart to sustain NSR via a prolonged refractory period seems to be the key for many of us ...either with or without ablation. You may find my Observational Report of interest. I've sent you one by email. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Mike - take note of the comment in the latest Taurine deficiency post.... specifically the statements: Urinary magnesium wasting can result from taurine insufficiency. Deficient taurine may result in increased cellular calcium and sodium and reduced magnesium. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
The results of a comprehensive metabolic profile type of test that was ordered by my FM MD were reviewed to have a look at nutritional status and some key points. These results were mostly improved over the original baseline which I had a number of years ago .. but hats not the not the topic of this post. Of interest was my taurine level which was flagged as high'. I take a daily dose ofby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Lance - You were fortunate not to bring about afib. Keep in mind that even though one would drink copious amounts of water, unless the water is fortified with the key electrolytes, that water may hydrate but not replenish the electrolytes lost via sweat. (Much would depend on the source of the water and quite likely, potassium wouldn't be in it anyway). By natural protection, the bodyby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Steve - in a word, Yes. Optimizing magnesium is the key and the initial focus of The Strategy. Without Mg you aren't going anywhere. Now, as mentioned in the report, many things interfere with reaching optimal levels or even remaining optimal so it's a constant vigil. A key indicator, of course, would be diminished AF or totally absent AF. If symptoms return, then the IC Mg levelsby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Mike - when we were tinkering with the recipe, Erling was able to get from a pharmacy, I believe, a quantity of bulk powder magnesium hydroxide. At the time he calculated that 3.6 g of powder = 3 TBS MoM and 3.6g = about 6 ml. If you can find the powder from a pharmacy, that will work just as well if you are unable to find the plain MoM. Steve - we just have to be aware and always wash produce when we bring it into the house... I use GSE in the water and wash everything before I put it away. You could spray meat products with a dilution of it as well. I think the best approach is to support the local farmers when you can and/or have access to them. Seasonally, I buy locally if I can't grow it myself. My grocery store iby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
I agree with that approach Hans... it's easy and quick. I typically use the others along with the GSE when I am away from home and want to be absolutely sure I don't have any problems. The GSE is an amazing substance.... but then they all are. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carol - certainly any time acid causes irritation in the vacinity of the vagus nerve, there can be a triggering of afib. The release of acid into the esophagus can definitely be a trigger and acid in the esophagus leads to lesions, Barrett's esophagitis with severe dysplagia and a potential for cancer. Jill -no it's not necessary to take both but you might like to if you are having trouble optimizing with the supplements.
