Paul - there is some thought that sleeping on the left helps empty the stomach easier and decreases the tendency toward GERD so that may be why you are more comfortable. Before my ablation, I absoutely could not tolerate left side sleeping and trained myself never to turn over. After ablation, I can sleep peacefully on either side. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
dcasper - that's good news about the kidney function. You'll probably notice that once you've optimized all the supplements - especially the potassium - you'll have a significant lessening of afib if not absent completely. Good luck with your project. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Peggy. The obvious indication is that when there is inflammation, most often there is also pain; and typically, OTC anti-inflammatories are taken. Inflammation, whether acute or silent is detrimental to the body - especially critical in heart and brain cells. Natural anti-inflammatories are useful but in the case of 'over use' of muscles, joint stress or in the case of high aby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Martin - eventually you may want to look into a good detoxification protocol and use some liver support supplements. Since every chemical we either consume or are exposed to has to go through the liver to be detoxified, the this increased toxic load can, over time, lead to increased stress on the liver and its ability to adequately detoxify these substances through cytochrome P450 and phase I anby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Conflicts of interest affect best practices in both industry-funded and non-industry-funded trials SEPTEMBER 15, 2009 | Shelley Wood Vancouver, BC - Investigators for clinical trials do not always follow best practices when it comes to avoiding or minimizing the effects of financial conflicts of interests (COIs), particularly when it comes to industry-sponsored trials, a new survey suggests.by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
John - to each his own on the PIP method vs daily intake, but keep in mind that flecainide has the property of becoming proarrhythmic in some individuals. It also has some side effects... mine was visual disturbances. If you can get by with an occasional PIP then it might be a better option...although I understand you hope to avoid surprises by taking a daily preventive dose, and as long as tby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
The next morning after strenuous exercise can also be depletion of electrolytes and the other key nutrients involved in heart energy production (ATP ). It can also be the result of the oxidative stress reaction to heart cells in that the free radicals are destructive in nature and heart cells are especially vulnerable. You might want to rethink the Natural Calm as it was tested and found to contain lead contaminants. You may be able to get assurance certification from the Natural Calm people that has been rectified, but there is no sense to intentionally ingesting lead. You can start with 200 mg magnesium glycinate with breakfast for 4 - 5 days and if that sits well, then add another 200 mg at lunch... wait.. then ramp up again with 200 at dinner and finally if you tolerate it, another 200 a bedtime. JKean - Welcome. Quite possibly the scoliosis contributes to irritation of the vagus nerve. Not that it's the same, but there is a connection between hiatal hernia and an irritated vagus so it's logical to think along those lines. David - one reason I can think of for why you might feel nauseous taking supplements after a meal is the dilution of stomach acid from the water or liquid you use to swallow down the pills. You are probably low in stomach acid to begin with. If you add a digestive enzyme before you begin or just with the first few bites, you may find that the nausea improves.
