Thanks Shannon for this hugely important post. I'll spend time at your links and I agree that it is entirely plausible that there is a connection between neurotransmitter deficiencies and AF. Hopefully the people working with this concept will be led in that direction and we will benefit. Debbie - one of our periodic afib posters, George Eby, has a website and when I originally found him, it was by tracking the benefits of magnesium. He wrote initially about treating his own depression with magnesium. You can get lost for days on his websites and related links. Highly informative and interesting. He also has a paper published on the topic: Have fun reading. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Rob - I totally agree with your comment! Josiah - don't be tempted to start a drug such as this. The downsides are significant and may not help with afib at all. When doctors become frustrated with not being able to manage afib, they often resort to the 'mind' connection as the source of the problem. David - you don't have to maintain a 'high' pH....just one that is out of the range of the acidic pH.... in fact, you really don't want to become too alkaline, either. Just a bit above neutral usually works well to eliminate symptoms of over-acidity. Many books on this topic are out there, the one's I have in my library are: Alkalize or Die -Theodore Baroody, MAby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

MacKey - Interesting thought. I imagine it would be difficult to do a study and have consistently accurate results because pH is affected so easily by food intake, drugs and emotions... ie, worry, stress, causes acidic pH. A test strp only gives a snapshot of pH trends .... eating something that metabolizes to acid ash could change the reading relatively quickly. I speculate that overall, afiby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

The developer of this formula, Erling Waller, was formerly an afibber and he's now 81 - continues to be AF free and has helped many people get rid of AF with the use of the WW along with other critical nutrients including potassium. I don't know anything about aggrenox or if it would be compatible with nattokinase....and would not recommend you experiment with it unless you can find someone who has used the combination safely and successfully. Debbie - if I were experimenting with calcium, I'd make sure the magnesium was twice that of calcium.
