Not to worry... you can place a pillow under your knees to relieve the tension in the lower back. I've done this 3 times now just as a precaution and my sensitive lumbar area has not suffered any consequences. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Well - I'm not blaming the ablation, but rather the Eliquis since I had 8 years prior to the first ablation with turbulent bouts and long standing... many lasted 24 hours and often only 4 hours break and back in Afib again and no memory or other problems. I wasn't using an anticoag during those years...managed the clotting risk with natural blood thinners and Nattokinase...as I'by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
John - I'm grateful, as well, for a calm heart in NSR and I have the highest regard for Dr. Natale and his team. Just hoping that once off the Eliquis, things resolve. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yes, Anti-Fib - it would be very useful to see your history of the Exatest with the all of the ratios and other results as well. Good suggestion. Using an ND is a great idea if one is available.... we don't have them in my area. I used a holistic chiropractor for the first and then my FM MD for the second. Both my tests were sent to me and I did the sublingual collecting myself anby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Don - Adding to your comments about bleeding with cuts... I'm similar... don't bleed profusely and it stops in a reasonable time, but I do bruise very easily. It seems that a hard bump may take a couple of months to resolve. I sustained some sort of a bump or injury after the last ablation... I thought I might have come from the transfer from the gurney to the procedure table... clangby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
My anecdotal observations and comments are these: First Natale ablation - age 67.... and for the next 11 years ... no memory problems... Age 78 - Second Natale ablation 8/2013.. and using Eliquis since 5/2013... annoying short-term memory lapses. During the time leading up to the 2nd ablation... at least 4 ECVs.. maybe more. I'd have to look up the exact number. I contend that isnby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
George, that's a very good idea. Certainly makes sense and in light of what 'overbreathing' does in terms of free radical production, no one needs to stimulate that and the resulting inflammatory response. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
I have not used the ReMag so I can't comment as to efficacy. My preference for magnesium is the amino acid chelated version Magnesium glycinate Albion patent ...and that from the magnesium bicarbonate ion from making the WW concentrate. The chloride version has the same vulnerability as other compounds... chloride, citrate, gluconate, oxide, taurate...in that they disassociate in stomacby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Part 1 of the GMO Facts Report: Preface An abbreviated version of this report was recently published in the AFIB Report. Anti-Fib… help clarify for me your use of the term Atrial Stunning. I'm confused as I had always thought atrial stunning occurred as a result of ablation procedure or electrocardioversion. Given your description of stunning after an arrhythmia session, that would place many afibbers at high risk for stroke if the LAA can’t clear blood properly as you indicate.....yet, typically, Lone AFby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ted - When I had my first ablation with Dr. Natale, I was unaware of my previous history with Lyme exposure so that never entered into any conversation. Back then, it was standard to have a consult 3 or more months in advance and then you just waited for your ablation date. I waited six months. For the second ablation 11 years later, I wasn't asked to bring any specific labs results oby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Alex - You take the Rx anticoagulant, Eliquis. I responded to you previously in the other thread that you should be careful about adding the enzymes and other herbals known to have blood-thinning properties while using Eliquis or other Rx blood thinners. If your doctor has you stop the Eliquis, then you can use a combination of the systemic and fibrinolytic enzymes plus Ginkgo biloba, Omegaby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Thank you, Bill, for your well written report which will serve as a reference to those who may need to consider the Atriclip option. My LAA clearance velocity evaluation will happen in about 3 months and while I'm hoping that I'll have a good score, it's very helpful to read your report. It could be that cardiologists and EPs, in general, are so aware or conversant about detrimental factors that cause heart disease that they are very conscientious as to healthy diets and lifestyle and therefore are typically not prone to other heart problems such as arrhythmias. Although the technology has changed dramatically since I heard research scientist, David Van Wagoner, PhD, talking about cardiac fibrosis, I do recall he said at the time that it can be so microscopic that in minor amounts, it would be undetectable by various scans (back then). Dr. Becker - Welcome. I totally agree with the magnesium testing advice. On another note, after my second ablation last summer and on the day of discharge, my EP, Andrea Natale, in Austin Texas, told me that my HR was 59 and that he didn't want me any lower than that... so therefore avoid anything that would lower it ...including beta blockers... to help avoid any regressions. David - Good. It's encouraging that you do get some positive response with the oral magnesium.
