John - Thank you for your kind words. Glad you are in touch with Barb Thomas. You could always ask to be put on a cancellation list if you think you want to try to get in sooner. You can always pass on it and wait for the next available if convenience is an issue. I realize it's hard to pick up and go but some people have found it worked for them. Just a thought. Billie - I will send you a PM on several of your comments... but for this one: I have tried mag and potassium but it appears I cannot take take them at the same time as the PACs and PVCs get worse. I am now currently trying the mag only but in a lower dose. It is Magnesium glycinate in pill form. My comment is --- That's the way to go. The risk of a clot forming that would cause a stroke or MI is obviously of concern in a heart that is beating out of control and for long periods of time as is often the case with arrhythmia. John - Im really sorry to read about your continuing Afib. That must be very frustrating. My comments based on my own experiences are these: 1. The very first drug I used for afib 19 years ago was Sotalol or Betapace and I didn’t have to stay in the hospital for any type of loading dose or observation. It also didn’t help much either since over the course of the next couple years andby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Welcome, Billie~ I am sorry you are struggling with your post-ablation recovery. I have no knowledge about the EP who performed your ablation so I'll leave that comment for others who may. However, I do want to pick up on your comment that your Afib began when you started using Synthroid. Can you elaborate on the lab findings and your symptoms that led to prescribing that?by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Mike - as you recognize, certain foods and beverages are known culprits for triggering AF. On your question about nattokinase... my personal experience with very lengthy events - 24 - 27 hours and taking various precautions to help prevent clotting revolves around a group of support nutrients known to help reduce inflammation and thus contribute to hyperviscosity or thick, sticky blood.by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
As discussed in recent posts regarding the use of Cipro and Levaquin and the importance of avoiding fluorinated drugs which include some antibiotics, this report is definitely a must read so you are aware of the far-reaching adverse side effects. Hi Lisa - Good to hear from you. It would be useful to wear a monitor or get one of the phone Apps that will allow you to record your sensations for evaluation by Dr. Natale's team. That way you'll know for sure. Some of us always seem to know or be able to detect whether we are in NSR or not, but for many, it is often very obscure. Welcome Grady - Thanks for your detailed report. I totally agree that if you can see Dr. Natale, that's your first best choice if and when you are ready to consider ablation. You've done all the standard heart assessments but what is at least equally important is to address your diet, lifestyle, essential nutrient status or what in your environment may be influential. Welcome Ken and thanks for your detailed report. You definitely should consult with Sergio Pinski just so you have that contact in place should you need it quickly. Thanks Peggy - There is abundant support for magnesium deficiency contributing to development of pre-diabetes and then, full-blown diabetes. Nancy - The absorption of a true Albion patented process mineral amino acid chelate ... in this case magnesium bisglycinate .... is not influenced by whether it's a tablet or capsule...since a true amino acid chelate is formulated not to break down in gastric stomach juices so both forms should be equally absorbable unless something was added to the tablet in addition to the Albion processby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Barb - Tumeric is curcumin. The nutritional supplement, curcumin, is Curcuma longa and in the more effective supplemental form it is typically labeled as standardized to 95% curcuminoids. Look on the bright side... very often, those who are functional medicine type practitioners recommend a good bowel cleanse periodically to rid the body of toxins and other bioburdens and they recommend the use of magnesium citrate for such regimens.
