Travis, Thanks for posting! I might try some. Since I take ~4g/day of mag given there is estimated to be 24-30 g of mag in the body (and over half of that is in the bones), I must be urinating a of my mag out. If her picometer mag would be absorbed in the cells better, it might be interesting. Georgeby GeorgeN - AFIBBERS FORUM
Travis, I'm not a chemist, but I'm not sure how you make "picometer" magnesium vs. just dissolving magnesium in water. It says 50,000 ppm, which is a fancy way of saying 5% (50,000/1,000,000). On their label it says 150mg mag/ 1/2 tsp. 1/2 tsp is about 2.4644 ml so 150/2.4644 = 60.9 mg mag/ml solution. In this document < they talk about making a solution of 25 g MgCby GeorgeN - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Travis, I've used KAL brand magnesium glycinate for 10 years successfully. I currently consume magnesium from a number of sources - mag chloride solution I make from Nigari (mag chloride that the Japanese use to coagulate tofu < 1/2 cup in 2 liters of water, from memory 900 mg mag/125 ml of the water), an Albion dimagnesium malate powder product that I purchase from an equine supplby GeorgeN - AFIBBERS FORUM
Travis, Wayne S. from Houston. Scheduled at 1:30 PM. He doesn't read here, but went to Dr. N on my very strong suggestion. Hey Travis, My friend from childhood will be joining you in getting an ablation from Dr. Natale on March 5. I'm sure he'll be interested in the responses. Georgeby GeorgeN - AFIBBERS FORUM

Sam, For what it is worth, when I use flec as PIP, I chew it and swallow so it goes as quickly as possible into my system (it does not taste good, but I don't care). Most of my episodes convert in an hour or so. Since an hour & 100 mg works, you can titrate back either the amount or the time, but I would not do them both at the same time. In other words, if you drop to 50mg, then wby GeorgeN - AFIBBERS FORUM

Bill, As I've previously posted < I take a lot of mag. I've noticed that my bowel tolerence is correlated with stress. That is higher stress equals higher bowel tolerence. Also, even thought my diet is includes huge amounts of raw veggies, I can flip between loose stools and constipation fairly quickly. A couple of tablespoons of psyllium husks/day allows more mag and evensby GeorgeN - AFIBBERS FORUM
Sam, I did that for a period of time ~3 years ago. I'd sucessfully used flec as PIP (300 mg) farily infrequently for 7 years. During my divorce, my episodes became much more frequent. And one time, they came 4 nights in a row. A cardio suggested I could switch to pretreating. Normally people taking flec daily take it 2x/day. As my episodes were all early morning, I took a loading dosby GeorgeN - AFIBBERS FORUM
Liz, If memory serves me right, I put her on it at 14 for "cat asthma." She lived to about seventeen (she was maybe 9 pounds in her prime). I'd taken her in as a stray when she was about 9 months. It did keep her from coughing. I could not tell any side effects. As it was a liquid, I played around with the dose, always trying for the minimum effective dose. I think there wby GeorgeN - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hey Liz, Not sure if this will help you. I had a cat on Prednisolone. My understanding is that humans can take Prednisone and make Prednisolone from it. The cat can not. Her liquid med was 10mg/ml and she got 0.4 ml/day (equal to 4 mg/day). It would seem your dose is very small compared to that for the 7 pound cat. Georgeby GeorgeN - AFIBBERS FORUM

Gary, From your link, 1 scoop = 5 grams of the product = 400 mg of magnesium. So you can multiply what you weigh by 0.08 (400/5000) to get the amount of magnesium. So 400mg x 0.08 = 32 mg mag. Why test to prove it is the mag? Your objective is NSR, not a science experiment. If what you are doing is working, keep it up. The longer it continues, the more likely it is the mag, given yourby GeorgeN - AFIBBERS FORUM
Josiah, I saw an article recently about Benifuuki tea reducing histamine. I purchased some, just got it three days ago, so tried it for two days & I think it is helping. I've had histamine issues all my life. I got mine here < You can Google Benifuuki histamine for more info. I've never had any correlation between histamine issues and afib personally. Gary, Time will tell, of course, but I'd bet a lot it is the former and not the latter. With as much afib as you've been having - reversal to complete NSR is pretty unlikely. l'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that it is the mag.by GeorgeN - AFIBBERS FORUM

Seth, There two ways that afib can be a quick exit from the planet. 1. Stroke. Your cardio/EP will want to compute your CHA2DS2-VASc score. < This will determine your need to take anticoagulation to mitigate the stroke risk. In my case, it appeared to be the combination of a strong vagal "signal" along with an elctrolyte imbalance that potentially was a trigger. Gary, Perhaps you have a vagal trigger: < You may also have high rate afib, hence the Bisoprolol makes it less noticeable - as a rate control med. Alternatively, you might be adrenergic and the Bisoprolol keeps your rate low & less likely to trigger afib. Georgeby GeorgeN - AFIBBERS FORUM

Gary, Serum potassium levels should be on a comprehesive blood test, if you've had one recently. Many of us have found we do better, afib wise, with levels greater than 4.2 mmol/L and less than 4.9 mmol/L. I went to the ER for my first afib episode (only time I've ever done that), my potassium level was 3.2 mmol/L. Six days later, at my doc's office, it was > 4. They'by GeorgeN - AFIBBERS FORUM
