QuoteCarey In any case, I remain hopeful. Nice to hear from you. Can you check back in, say, in six months and let us know how it turned out? (Sooner if it doesn't turn out well.) From this thread. My friend Tom Seest just posted elsewhere that his cardioversion, as described in the linked thread has held for 6 months. I will ping him and ask him to check in here. QuoteNotLyingAboutMyAfib Any hope of PIP flec working after 60 days in AFIB? Thanks EP said no, but it did work for me to convert 2.5 month episode. I concur with Carey.by GeorgeN - AFIBBERS FORUM

I was able to get on sotalol on my own after stopping it without going the hospital/ekg route" I'm no doc, but if PIP is OK with flec, starting it with your old dose should be OK, in my opinion. So I'm basically about freedom, so cut and pasted from Todds YouTube link. I admit I didn't read it all, so edited out what I consider to be offensive parts of the paste. IMO, this is real. The crucial number is the infection fatality rate (IFR), what is commonly reported is the case fatality rate (CFR). The difference is that the CFR is based on known cases, with COVID, thereby GeorgeN - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
I got a PM asking about Hans' afib health. For all of you that know him, here is my reply: Hans controls his afib with flec, so not in afib (I'm not sure if/when he goes out of rhythm), but the ablation isn't holding perfectly without meds. He's also got prostate cancer, which he describes in detail here . The treatment they wanted to give him (he discovered) would interaby GeorgeN - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuotePoetKim I would like to know HOW I can find a better cardiologist, ideally in Vancouver or Victoria BC. I am looking for a cardiologist who will try to identify the reason behind this afib so that I can approach it better. For example, is it vagally mediated or adrenergic or both? That's an important question that affects both the drugs that are prescribed (which I am not at present takby GeorgeN - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuotePoetKim Kim, Vitamin D is fat soluble, and is best consumed with other fat, say in a meal. Because it is fat soluble, D levels should persist for fairly long periods of time. Hence what you take the day or two before a blood draw, really should not impact a blood test. This statement assumes you are taking common daily doses of D, say 10,000 iu's or less. Quotesmackman For some reason, I have allowed this to “get in my Head”. I will white coat at Home. I just took my BP 3X and the average is143/83 and I know I am tense but cannot overcome it. QuoteLaniB Thanks so much George N!!! So much to read and so little time. I want to read all of those links! What form of Mg does your son in law take? Interesting that chloroquine showed up for persistent afib in your search. Probably couldn't get any right now & have to be careful about long QT and Torsades de Pointes, but maybe something to check out in the future.by GeorgeN - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteLaniB I've read that in addition to Magnesium, that people who have, or have had AF should be taking Coenzyme Q10, Taurine, and D Ribose. I know potassium is important, and that it's really easy to get from food. V8 especially, and coconut water and sweet potatoes and white potatoes. Years ago here, folks used to talk about "cyclical" afib. Meaning that for many they had a cycle where there was a period of time they were "safe" from afib and then there was a "risk" period, where they were almost guaranteed an afib episode. The length of the cycle was individual, depending on the person. I experienced this during the my first two months of afibby GeorgeN - AFIBBERS FORUM

QuoteThe Anti-Fib George: Which Oura tracking ring do you use? I guess for just keeping track of HR and SpO2 levels a cheaper one would suffice. I am seeing them as low as $25 on Amazon. SVT or atrial flutter will generally feel regular. Afib will feel very irregular if you feel your radial pulse. If you are looking at some kind of monitor with a flashing heart, similarly the flash spacing will be irregular for afib. Would never give you advice on flec, a doc should do that. As a male, no experience with cycle, so no comment on that. You'd eaten after the 2 days of fasting, so not in the middle of a fast, except overnight (which sounds like is common for you).
