George has probably got the best supplement advice out there. I follow it and it seems to give me more NSR more often in my blanking period state (in 5th week)by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM

There seems to be something better than a gin and tonic (quinine) for malaria and that's artemisinin . (won the nobel prize in 2015) A lot of people latched on to this early on as a possibility (me included) because of HCQ's use as an antimalarial, but it doesn't appear to have much promise now that we are further along - some trials are proposed. Carey is right. Quercetin is found in red onions and capers, bromelain in pineapples, zinc in oysters. A Hawaiian pizza, made with red onions, pineapple and oysters instead of ham you’d be essentially taking the same ingredients as these extracts. Copper is needed because zinc supplementation can deplete copper. I failed to mention that I eat the equivalent of a half baseball sized red onionby NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM

BettyLou - True - heparin is the preference in hospital setting. But in my case I'm going with what I have control over considering that the carelessness occurring all around us may result in a tsunami when compared to the first wave. Getting an MD or a hospital bed may not be possible if things get really bad. If I'm wrong, I still have Eliquis for what it's prescribed for andby NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
I am one of the original quercetin zinc fans having secured a supply in March while everyone else was just figuring out that covid was serious business. I have taken it on a regular basis and have seen no affects for afib with C. D. Eliquis etc. But I no longer think quercetin is that effective after reading many papers and studies since March. I still take quercetin, zinc and copper aboby NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thrombosis in covid is well documented. So much so I've been worried that people that don't need anticoags like us AF'rs would get it as a prophylactic. Keep a stock on hand if you can and don't toss them. Even if off of them, I plan to take anti-coags before any long plane trips on top of being ultra-hydrated and giving blood prior to the trip.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
I'm ok with eliquis as long as covid is an issue. It's a good drug for the pandemic toolbox.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ingrid - since you're not in a rush consider getting an insurance plan that does cover Dr. Natale and has him in network. Exactly what I did. And knowing that the ablation was likely, I picked a plan which capped my maximum costs for the year. Worked out fine. HR in the 30s? Wow. When I was vagal and para - I used an O2 ring that has HR and alerts hi/lo with vibration. Afterby NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM

While we're at it anyone seen the cost related to an ECV? I think it's about $4700 here in Texas.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
+ 1 on Pompom - AFAIK - not a free pass to tempt the beast but a chance to never have it visit again. I'm staying cautious and conservative - maybe even walk the tightrope despite me never isolating any triggers. I don't want another ablation esp if someone other than Dr. N will be doing it.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
Only 1 break last night between 11 PM and 6 AM so that's a good night for me.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
My opinion - too many joules. I've had two 300 joules ECVs and they left redness and itching. I also had a 200 that did not leave any problems (and worked 1st time) and a 250 joules that left some. 225 is likely the sweet spot for me. Aloe vera might help.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
Rich consider one of these rings if you can swing it. I use it to let me sometimes sleep w/o a cpap as I can set the ring to vibrate and wake me up if I dip low. Some nights I don't need a cpap and some nights I need one right away. The ring helps with that.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
rhexis - I am right behind you by 5 weeks or so. Seeing more and more NSR as the heart cools off. Taking flecainide, eliquis and diltiazem. I'm not willing to tempt status yet with any triggers - maybe some Armagnac in Dec but the crap I drink is so expensive I can only afford to have a little sip here and there. So it shouldn't be a problem. Yeah Shan is really thorough and kby NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
I used the guidelines and research I found online - most of them draw the line at 90%. As I sit here right now I'm at 99. At sea level, a normal blood oxygen level (saturation) is usually 96 - 97%. Although there are no generally accepted classifications for severity of oxygen desaturation, reductions to not less than 90% usually are considered mild. Dips into the 80 - 89% range cby NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
If you ask me - sleep studies are way too elaborate and designed to fail (meaning ensure you're categorized as a patient by loading enough monitors and equipment on you to ensure you can't sleep normally). It's as simple as this - are you hypoxic (O2 < 90) while sleeping? And if so how often and how long. I agree George. I tried high fat (rib eyes) and felt the consequences immediately in gall bladder. I ran my DNA through Rhonda Patricks and Prometheus and I'm better off with leaner meats typical of my ancestors. (Doggerland) But this crazed fear of butter, egg yolks, bacon is unfounded. # 1 - thank god you're not on a statin. The only thing I'd be a little worried about is the effect of PPIs on your atherosclerosis. Take a read of this and see if you want to either stop taking PPIs (you could try Braggs apple cider vinegar) or you can try l-arginine or l-citruline to help with more NO which should also help lower that BP. it's never too late to learn some new tricks. At 55 I looked to be a dead man walking. The cake for afib was already baked in. But I've been able to turn around my BG, BP and all blood labs in very short time by eating a low carb diet. It's not easy but you will feel great once those good labs come in. I think it's a matter of training and perhaps a parlor trick. I only got 20 seconds on first attempt and then 45 on 2nd. Sidenote - a friend of mine that went to keto diet increased his ability to swim underwater from 35 yards to nearly 70 in a few weeks.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
