Davros: I have been taking 1 tab. of Propafenone (125mg.) at night before bed, my doctor always wanted me to take 1 1/2 tabs. I tried that last year in June and July, it did help with AF but then I started waking up a few hours after taking the 1 1/2 tabs. feeling like my heart was slow and was having a hard time to beat, I have a pacemaker and it had to beat when it reached 50, but it was noby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM

We don't know if Shannon would have been taking a blood thinner if that would have prevented his TIA, his case of a hole being opened letting debris into his blood is something that the average person is not being subjected to: * I was on Cardiokinase at 100mg 3x/day, which is the most potent form of Nattokinase, when I had my small stroke. While concerning, its quite possible that ifby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
I noticed that dr. Davis, author of, Wheat belly, looked kind of chunky and looked him up, I also don't agree with him, this is what I found: On the AF board there is posted a good report on Dr. Davis. Lizby Elizabeth - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM

Joe: Victor Longo doesn't look very healthy---there really isn't any hard core science about fasting, there is a lot of talk but is it a fad? I don't know, I have seen over the years about going on different diets that are supposed to increase your life etc. You know, all of these gurus didn't live any longer because of their diets. We are supposed to eat more vegetablesby Elizabeth - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Joe: I think a lot of these diets are kooky. I follow mostly the Mediterranean diet, you can eat beans, peas, lentils, veggies, meat, fruits, nuts, olive oil, eggs, I also eat some good grain bread. Don't eat sugar and cook your own food. I don't understand this fasting thing that is supposed to be so good for you. So we are supposed to have one view on this broad which is "ablations are great when done by Natalie and some others". Even Dr. Natalie has to do more than one ablation for a patient. On this board some have had 3 done by him. There are some tragic stories about some ablations outcomes, which we usually don't read about them on here. I recall a few years ago a doctor had an ablby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Many people have a stroke, Sharon Stone, a movie star had one: haron Stone is back. And after famously serving as amfAR’s Global Campaign Chair for 15 years, she’s taken on a new role as advocate for brain-aging diseases that disproportionally affect women. Only one third of Alzheimers patients are men, for instance. And don’t even get Stone started on strokes. “This is why I do it: My motherby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM

Katesshadow:: I used to be in AF around 22 hours, those episodes would come about every two or three months, now my episodes are around anywhere from 4 hrs. to 12 hours but they seem to come a little more often, I have been taking Hawthorne berry and Propafenone when going into AF and it has shorten my episodes. MWCF: Wow, your mom had AF for 45 years without any meds, does that include Blood thinners? She was a young woman when she got AF and then raised a family. I believe our DNA has a lot to do with it, but there are still cases where something causes our electrical circuits to go haywire. I have been reading that a lot of posters believe that stress causes their AF---I believe that we have the DNA for AF, sometimes certain things can bring it on. For me, I was over medicated on my thyroid med and became hyper which caused my AF. I believe some meds will cause AF, as I had posted about a woman taking a cancer drug caused her to be in permanent AF. How do we know that some drugby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM

Cranberries are very bitter, how do you eat them as a sauce, juice? Do you use any sweetener, doubtful many people could eat 2 cups a day, I like cranberries but I make a sauce with a little sweetener but 2 cups is a little much. Lizby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Fibrillator:: I got my first taste of AF when I was taking too high a dose of Synthroid for my Thyroid which made me hyper. Now I will say it no doubt is in my DNA because my mother had AF, but she didn't get it until her 80s. I don't think AF is a disease, something affects the electrical process in the heart, for me the excess meds made my heart work too much. same with people tby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
