I have had a lot of dental work done and never has it put me in AF, I wonder if that is because I am Vagal. Lizby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Gordon: The supplements that I get from my doctor are listed on the container, made in Texas, U.S.A. not China, I have known my holistic doctor for about 20 years, he is very caring and does not overcharge. I go to him twice a year and he only charges me 125.00 and my blood draws are paid for by my Ins. When I go to a regular MD. they charge my Ins. 3 times more than what I pay my Holisticby Elizabeth - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Oh I just saw the video, tragic and so sad, I cried, I sent the url to my daughter to give to my granddaughter, she has a boy (my great grandson) he is now 6. He did get shots, there was a few years where he was a very hard child to manage I don't know if he was affected by the shots or if he just was a hard kid to take care of. He is good now since he has been going to school, he is veryby Elizabeth - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Carey said; Like most supplements, nobody really knows for sure what it does Not exactly true, if you go to a Holistic doctor he has experience with the different supplements which he prescribes. Lizby Elizabeth - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Oh my gosh, what about people that don't have their thyroid or very little of it, they have to stay on their thyroid meds like me. The more you read the scary it is. My EP never ever mentioned anything about thyroid meds and taking a blood thinner, he wanted me to take a blood thinner and he knows I take thyroid meds. I don't have very much faith in the med. field. lizby Elizabeth - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
George: I didn't mean that the blood thinner was the older, I meant that the people taking the blood thinner were usually older, they probably are less tolerant of drugs. I re-read my comment and it really isn't clear as to my meaning. Sorry and I am sober. Lizby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Anybody on thyroid meds and blood thinners? Thyroid hormones … cholesterol lowering drugs, blood thinners such as Coumadin or heart medicine like digoxin should check with a physician or pharmacist. In theory, the herb guggul might counteract thyroid-suppressing drugs or increase the effect of thyroid hormones. Monitoring thyroid function is prudent. Smackman: You said your dad died of a stroke while taking an older blood thinner, was that Coumadin? I have read of cases where people have died of a stroke while on a blood thinner and are usually older.by Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Whether you smoke cannabis or eat it, remember that it can: •Heighten alcohol’s effects on your body •Interact with medications. For example, it can raise the dangers of bleeding with blood thinners or make some antiviral drugs not work as well. •Hurt your concentration and motor skills. It’s dangerous to drive while you’re highby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
The doc. did not say you couldn't eat meat, just said not to eat a lot of it eat more fruits and vegetables. Why would it be expensive to eat more vegetables? Beans aren't expensive, when I was a kid we didn't have very much money and my mother made a lot of bean soup, baked beans from scratch. JakeL Really good article, just read it, thanks. Lby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Smackman: My Ins. (which is Medicare) covers blood draws, I said I pay my Holistic doc. out of pocket. It appears that many, even with Dr. Natalie, have more than one ablation, yes AF is not pleasant.by Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Brian: Dean eats the food Natto, it has stopped his AF. The following is from one of Dean's posts. Natto food V's Nattokinase: Which is best? With stroke and afib being the current topic on the forum (and bordering on the hysterical from some posters). I thought I would post this excellent article from Dr John Day, an EP and former President of the Heart Rhythm Society of thby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Safib Thank you for the clarification, I appreciate it. Lizby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dean posts on here once in a while he has posted about his success with eating Natto. Good grief, you think that Carey isn't scaremongering always telling everyone they should be on blood thinners or they will stroke, even if you only have a few min. of AF once in a great while. I never heard this over and over until Carey, there are some of us that cannot take these blood thinners. Colinby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
My Holistic doctor charges me 125.00/visit, all blood draws are paid for by my Ins. I go twice a year. My reg. M.D. charges my Ins. which I usually have co- pay also, the amount the doc charges my Ins. is a lot more than what I pay out of pocket to my Holistic doc. This is a AF board so I won't comment anymore on the flu vaccine. Lizby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Safib; An overview of several medical applications of the Bernoulli Equation, including a description of the Venturi mask, and how echocardiography is used to estimate pulmonary artery pressure. In what way can one use the Bernoulli equation in AF/stroke?by Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
CDC, by definition, is a private corporation working on behalf of its stakeholders, which include key players in the pharmaceutical and vaccine industries. Hmm.by Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Safib: Carey is correct again about the evidence, with the caveat that the long term risk is really unknown. To extrapolate from a short term risk to a long term risk requires a model, and there is no validation of the Bernoulli model which he uses. Carey said the following: There are studies showing that stroke risk increases after just minutes of afib. As for fixing the contributing facby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Safib: Carey also said the following: quote=Carey] Carey have you read the ASSERT 2 trial? Moreover, ASSERT 2 "substantially weakens the case that subclinical AF detected after stroke is linked to causality," he said. Yes, I have read it, and you're absolutely right. I was going to wait and see if someone mentioned it and you did. It's not really clear at all hoby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carey said: That is flatly false and you're not doing anyone any favors scaremongering. How is Colindo scaremongering? Isn't this a board that is open to discussion about AF, Carey anything you don't like you call it criticizing doctors, scaremongering and false. People get strokes even while they are on bloodthinners, Shannon has written about his after he had his watchmby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Jackie: Great piece of work, lots to read and learn. I do have a comment however over something that puzzles me. You said; "Lastly, in introducing the connection between inflammation and mitochondrial dysfunction, we can note that some of the so-called anti-inflammatory drugs—including the prototype prednisone—actually cause/exacerbate mitochondrial dysfunction." Dr. Brownsteby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Where are the studies that one can stroke after one min. of AF? I told my doctor that I usually am in AF for about 3 to 12 hours, he got that from me not from the wind. Carey said; I stick to evidence-based medicine, not anecdotes and opinions. If I say something like the above, I say it because I know it to be supported by solid scientific evidence. Seems to me Carey you should know thaby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Actually Carey it is you that is scarcing people, I grant that you are a very knowledgeable man but you believe one way. This post is one that you posted a few months ago; It would be nice if that were true but it's not. Strokes are more common among afib patients even when they haven't had an afib episode in months or even years. And actually, there's probably no such thiby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Sorry, but it is all about money, there is a lot of money that has been behind these new blood thinners. We have fake science just like fake news.by Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Joe; Thanks for the link, I watched most of it the doctor is great, smart as a whip and has gone through a lot. I am going to get her book "Plague'. She says that the Science news is fake just like the media is, a lot of these studies that come and are used to support peoples arguments are not necessarly for real. Hard for me to believe that cardioversion is the first line of defense in AF, my mother was in permanent AF, never a mention of cardioversion. I would like to see how many people on this board were cardioverted when they first got AF? The. next time I see my EP I will ask him if that is a first line of defense for AF. Hey George were you cardioverted when you first went into AF, I know you weby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Anti-Fib said; Cardioversion is used more broadly than you described it. It is common way to get people out of AFIB, back into NSR. It is one of the 1st treatments given for AFIB, before it becomes too chronic a condition. I don't know where you get that Cardioversion is one of the first treatments given for AF, I have had episodes of AFoff and on for about 20 years, never, never hby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Betty: I was on Bio-Identical hormones for a number of years, it was a cream, I had no problem with my heart speeding up. I get aura migraines sometimes and I started getting more so I just started eliminating things, but I think I will go back to taking it again. Lizby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Bobby: Have you tried a Pill in the pocket route? Take an anti-arrhythmic drug, chew it and drink warm water that has always shorten the time for me being in AF. Lizby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
