Alex: In the article that Jackie posted, it says that small amounts of strontium that is naturally present in Organic supplements do not pose a problem So if that is what you have then there is no problem. Lizby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Cranberries sound like a good source of vitamins and minerals, taking calcium in a food is much different than taking a calcium supplement. Lizby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
I saw Dr. Brownstein last week, I asked him for a good vitamin K2-K7 and he said that he hasn't found one that he would sell. I did get a supplement called Nattovita, since I can't take aspirin with my predisone, he recommended the Nattovita. I note on the ingredients that it contains Menaquinone-7, 25 mcg. "Knowledge is Power"---depends on the knowledge. We don't have years of testing on individuals that have quit eating any wheat products and have gone on a veggie diet, are they living any longer or have fewer health problems? Mark Hyman's diet includes meat, eggs, tofu, no wheat. Joel Fuhrman's diet advocates no meat or dairy, no wheat, limited nuts and beans, veggby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Jackie: I do not have Celiac disease and I do not have problems with gluten , I do not eat a lot of wheat but do eat some rye and w. wheat and corn flours. In the summer I raise corn and when in season eat a lot of it, doesn't give me any gastric or any other problems. Jackie: All of these doctors that I listed have different ideas about what to eat, why don't they all agree, that is what is confusing people. I agree with eating lots of veggies, nuts, beans, fruits and whole wheat and I will continue with that diet. I feel better when I eat some wheat products, I don't function as well on just veggies, some protein and nuts, maybe other people arby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dr. Hyman, Fuhrman, Purlmutter and Davis are hyping on Public T.V, they are selling their wares, people that have health problems try everything, these people are preying on them. Hyman uses the Huffington Post, that speaks volumes, that isn't a reliable network If you don't want GMO grain, you can get organic, GmO free products, whole wheat grain has fiber and protein, there is tby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks George, I was beginning to feel like an orphan. My doc is on vacation this week so I will have to wait until next week, but your answer has helped alleviate some of my qualms. I just received a card in the mail from the device clinic, saying that the findings are in the normal limits. I didn't know that flutter is normal. Lizby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
I sent a tracing of my pacemaker to the pacer clinic at U of M, I spoke with the nurse that read the tracing. She said that I had some flutter in and out throughout my episode of AF (the last AF episode I had) I also was in and out of AF as well. She said I was in AF a total of 12 hours, I thought I was in about 17 hours, I took it from the beginning to the final time of my NSR. It was wheby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ron: Probably everything you buy, tomatoes, strawberries, vegetables, everything is sprayed, so if you are using not to eat wheat because of spray then you can't eat anything expect if you raise it yourself. Actually, I buy a bread that is made with Organic flour. Lizby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Steve: You eat raw cranberries, would cranberry juice be just as good (without sugar of course)? I too eat more protein (meat, eggs) and do not feel very many ectopic beats, if I do not eat very much meat, I will get a few ectopic beats. I am glad to see your post on Alkaline/acid, I have not believed all of what is posted on having our bodies too alkaline. Lizby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Well, if this "diet" is for you that is good, that doesn't mean that we all do better on Fuhrmans diet, we are not sheep that we follow one leader. Even in our AF journey we are not all the same, some can eat and do things without an episode of AF, some cannot. I do have some episodes of AF, I have since I first got AF in 1998, usually I can go about a least 2 months without anby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM

Wheat is the product of a cross between 3 different grass species which is reputed to happened 10,000 B.C., since the beginning of civilization. Wheat has been found in pits where human settlements flourished over 8,000 years ago. In the British Museum you can see actual loaves that were made and baked in Egypt over 5,000 years ago. Americans love food demons, and our newest one is wheat.by Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
Marg: Thank you for your response, I have been taking propafenone for many years, only take 1 tab. at night, I do have a pacemaker. I have had paroxysmal AF since around 1999, I used to convert back into NSR and that was that, I felt fine. Now, the fast heartbeat is a little scary, if the Ativan stopped it then it probably is the propafenone. I am waiting to hear from my EP Lizby Elizabeth - AFIBBERS FORUM
I had an AF episode yesterday, started around 9:00 a.m., I took one propafenone (125mg), drank a cup of ginger tea, went back to bed hoping I would convert shortly. Well, that didn't happen, I got up ate some breakfast, my AF wasn't too bad, it is reacting differently, when I sit my heart rate feels in normal rhythm, only when I get up and move around does it get in abnormal rhythm. "Fruits are forms of sugar" fruits also have vitamins/minerals, we all need some sugar, our brains need it, why do you always blast good foods, then you take supplements to make up for the vitamins/minerals you don't get. Lizby Elizabeth - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM

Most of us are very health conscience, we don't eat sugar and use supplements.
