QuoteMeganMN Atrial tachycardia actually can be a complication after an ablation for afib. What makes you think it is Atrial Tachycardia? After a little exercise, mowing a small lawn, I notice a sick feeling and headache, check my pulse via fitbit and its 124BPM. I sat down for a while, took my blood pressure (125/78) recorded an ECG. result are attached. This is typical of these eventby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Just wondering if it's common after an ablation to experience atrial tachycardia and what is the treatment for it. I believe it's difficult to control with drugs. I sometimes experience tachycardia and nausea for unknown reasons. Could be exercise with little effort, but not all ways. Could be a little anxiety.?by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM

I don't like to have too many stickies because they compete for space with active threads. But I've stickied it again for now. QuoteYuxi Has anyone been trying Nattokinase to counter lone afib? Member Dean in Australia has been using Natto food (not nattokinase) to keep afib at bay since the mid 2000's. Natto food is the actual fermented soybeans. Here is search on his posts. Dean's afib cause seems to be related to acid reflux & digestion and he was on PPI's. I have recently had a touch up ablation and have been experiencing PACs of about 10 per hour that's if my heart rate is below 68bpm. I see your heart rate is low 60's, just wondering if there something in it? Wouldn't a beta blocker lower your heart rate even lower?? There have been other posters recommending magnesium for ectopic, maybe someone could elaborate. Also magnesiuby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteWill1789 I don’t think getting off flec is an option for me according to the cardiologist unless I go the ablation route - but given my country is quite small (New Zealand) I prefer to wait until I’m older and can afford to travel to get ablated by one of the experts. We in New Zealand do have an expert in Dr Hooks who did his training at Bordeaux. He has more than 10 years experience aby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM

Since taking flecainide (200mgs extended release daily) I have experienced, gait disturbance, blurred vision, hand tremor and mental fogginess. Or is this just old age catching up. I just turned 80 this year.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuotePompon 1st thing I 'd try if I'm AFib free since ablation is to stop flecainide and see how it goes that way. I would only go for a touch-up in case AFib is back (and flec does not work). I had an episode of Afib post blanking period and that's the reason for the touch up. The EP who prescribe flecainide was adamant I stay on it until after the touch up because he didn'by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
I tested for fibrinogen some years ago after eating natto every 2nd day and taking 4000FU's of Nattokinase before bed each day. I did this for 3 years and had fibrinogen test each year and found there was very little difference from year to year. Which I was disappointed about. BTW if covid hadn't come along I think I would still be eating natto and taking Nattokinase. Another storby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Is there any advantages or disadvantages in having a long gap between ablation and a touch-up. It's been 9 months since my ablation, touch-up was supposed to be 6 month ago. I am on flecainide and pradaxa with no afib or ectopics so far, although I think I have experienced some odd beats after pushing myself to hard, otherwise OK. I'm just curious?by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Is it normal for your blood pressure to rise post ablation. I had my blood pressure checked the other day and it was higher than I expected. It was up about 10 from my pre ablation pressure. E.g..From =>120/75 to =>130/85 It's been 7 months since my ablation and during that time I have experienced headaches, some times all day headaches. Some days no headaches. QuoteYuxi Wouldn't that also lower my normal blood pressure, there must have been some reason why beta blockers weren't prescribed. My first EP did not prescribe beta blocker along with Flec because he thought my BP is on the low side. My second EP did and said it’s important to take it for protection. So I’m taking half dose 12.5mg every day now, no real difference in BP. Doby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteCarey No, I am taking flecainide, pradaxa.and nothing else. You might want to reconsider that. It would probably eliminate the tachycardia and it also offers protection against 1:1 conduction, a rare but potentially fatal side effect of flecainide. Is it normal to have a high heart rate while taking flecainide. I have been prescribed 200mgs slow release flecainide, to be taken daily.
