Enrique ... it was more than 3 points... This was in 2003 so I don't recall specifically which they were. With all the needles, I'm assuming he hit those three, at least. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Barb - As Dennis notes, taking with food usually helps... however, you could try taking the individual ingredients separately. More pills but maybe that way you can learn which you tolerate better than others. Curcumin is a well known anti-inflammatory. There is the Mervia preparation. I use one called C 3 Complex from Designs for Health that is standardized to 95% of the curcuminoids and haby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
First and foremost... it's always wise to realize that if your intracellular magnesium is low, then too much potassium can cause problems. We fluctuate continually depending on what demands call for utilization of both magnesium and potassium....that's set forth by magnesium researcher, Mildred Seelig, MD. Clarification is needed on discussions of the 4:1 potassium-to-sodium ratiby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Josiah - Yes, they are one of the better specialty labs that offers the more comprehensive nutrient testing although if you are looking for the accurate magnesium testing, I don't believe they do it. Only Exatest does that which accurately reflects what's Intracellular. Jackieby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
JohnBM... I'm glad to see you are improving with your regimen and as you are learning, it can take quite a bit of time to clear the body of old toxins and old habits and allow for restoration. You mention the sleep apnea. I've recently investigated apnea as I had a test that indicated elevated lactic acid which is apparently an indicator or can be.. an indicator.. for apnea. I did aby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
PH - it could be Dr. Natale doesn't like taurine is because of the rep Taurine has in the high energy drinks like Red Bull that also include caffeine, sugar and other stimulating ingrediets that would be terrible for afibbers to use. I'm very sensitive and don't tolerate caffeine but I have used 1 - 3 grams of plain, pure taurine consistently for years without an afib problem.by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Enrique - I had two treatments a week for 10 weeks by an MD who was also a D.O.M...Doctor of Oriental Medicine in accupuncture. It did nothing for the afib. He was dumbfounced and took my case to his study group but they didn't come up with anything helpful either. I totally believe in the concept of accupuncture, but my experience is that you have to correct the missing electrolytes/minby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Duke - Whether you go for ablation sooner rather than later becomes a personal decision based on the severity of your events and how debilitating or disruptive they are for you along with how you can manage to function in your job, home life etc. Many people just can’t take a ‘time out’ with every Afib event so for them, sooner is more practical. That said, the ablation advice offered hereby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Enrique - Since you haven't received a response, I'd like to comment that it's certainly possible for you to create a log or diary and record every portion of food that you ingest in a day or a week and calculate the calcium and magnesium content by referring to a reliable table such as you could locate at Oregon State... George - good point about the disabled factor. I've never felt disabled or maimed and I certainly had every reason to adopt that attitude but there is no question that developing Afib increased my 'awareness factor' on a lot of health aspects exponentially.... especially when it comes to health problems brought on by nutritional deficiencies and imbalances such as Afib and the maby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Smackman - Really, the consequence of taking too much magnesium is going to be loose stools. You may as well bump up your dosing and see where your bowel tolerance level actually is. The other thing I failed to mention when it comes to constipation... (sorry).... is the importance of using a high count probiotic to make sure that you have plenty of friendly bowel bacteria. John - there was a previous post discussing nebulizer use of magnesium.... Check here and read down through... Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Oh - good - you are hydrating well. The water helps keep the fiber free flowing in the intestine. I understand the timing of your water consumption but it may be something you'll have try to work around... so you don't dehydrate overnight and then cause the constipation. I'm confident that once you eliminate some of the heart meds, you'll notice improvement. I'm inby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Nancy - I understand about your sensitivities. Glad the WW concentrate improved your alkalinity. That alone can help you significantly. I like the idea of the trampoline. You remind me to use my rebounder as that circulation effect is highly beneficial. I wish you well with whatever path you decide to take. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

My observation over many years and in many professional and casual (social) situations is that most people don't really understand what Afib or arrhytymia actually is... so if you just say.... " I have an irregular heart beat".. many seem to 'get' that and then aren't thinking you have a major disability. Sometimes people want to know more and I explain briefly whaby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Magnesium should not be causing constipation... especially when you drink the WW concentrate. My experience is that if you drink too much of that, you can get very loose stools. You take a lot of Rx drugs and each one could contribute to constipation through dehydration. Consider that you may not be consuming enough overall water ...one liter of the magnesium bicarb water is not nearlby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
John - The magnesium chloride oil... isn't really an oil.. it just feels oily. Some people call it Magnesium Gel. Check out the website of Dr. Mark Sircus, Ac., OMD, DM (P) - he's one of the well-known experts in the magnesium oil arena. He may have something about nebulizing there. August 2010 journal report on Taurine – worth noting. Physiological roles of taurine in heart and muscle Read more than just the Abstract… the Introduction has relevancy for afibbers in that the regulation of calcium homeostasis by taurine has been extensively studied. Nancy - It was five years after my first AF event that I found my current board-certified, Family Practice, FM MD. She outlined her treatment plan which began with a liver detox. You can take taurine separately if you are after the taurine properties. Jaby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Nancy - I'm glad you realize the importance of liver detoxing and actually, I'm very alarmed and disappointed that any practitioner would go ahead and treat you aggressively without doing that first since harm can be done to patients who don't have proper liver clearance. Hi Nancy - I've commented previously and I'll continue to do so..... especially with your pre-existing MCS, it's always wise to take minimal supplements while restoring the detoxification liver pathways.
