Ralph - No, I'm here in Ohio. No, this isn't hiatal hernia... it's more to do with the diagraphm muscle itself..as I said, 'scrunched' up by stomach pressure... the pulling down on that muscle lets everything else relax...and there were some other chiropractic manipulations related to the whole procedure. as well. As mentioned, it was totally amazing and highly effectiby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Diane - speaking as a older person., I can certainly see the merit of refusing heroics when there is really no 'hope' left. Why prolong the agony? Understandably, younger people typically do not agree or have acquired that foresight. Since I've had lots of experience in listening to calamity stories from patients and friends about the end-stages of life and heroics, I'd haby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Hey Peggy - I think your father would be very proud of your hardiness... from what you've shared with us over the years...I think you are extraordinarily 'tough' ..and I mean that in a complimentary way. You have a lot of common sense and fortitude for toughing out some really awful situations. I guess, in part, afib makes us that way.... Best to you, Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Marty - I'll investigate the ingredients... thanks for taking the time when you are busy to respond. My suspicion is that you are low in magnesium...which is typical... but also low in potassium... and just maybe that small amount of sodium in the bicarb just helped push you over into imbalance...especially of the Mg and K are marginal or outright low. Nancy - I'd add more betaine HCl separately to the digestive enzyme you already use as that one has other, good, important enzymes....... start with a low dose and just keep adding on. Jonathan Wright, MD. who wrote on The Importance of Stomach Acid says that he's often amazed at how much betaine HCl people really need...and everyone is different. Ralph - During the years of my afib challenge, I had similar postural triggers... bending over was commonly a trigger. I have written about my chiropractic treatment for what Dr. Jordon, D.C. called a displaced diaphragm... meaning the stomach was pushing up and encroaching on the diaphragm space and that in turn, then crowded the heart area and releasing pressure on the Vagus Nerve.
