EB - I never recommend drugs to anyone. I do recommend replacement nutrients for what the body actually was designed to use for function. Big difference. And yes.. free ablations in Canada... do a survey of how many people have had a follow up ablation elsewhere after a Canadian ablation. My suggestion to Murray is based on the knowledge that very often people in studies go on for yearsby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Quercetin Broad-Spectrum Protection LEF magazine September 2012 For well over the the past year, my focus on Energy Medicine has expanded to include an ongoing interest in the momentum picking up tremendous speed regarding Restorative or Anti-Aging Medicine. What matters here to afibbers is dehydration and loss of the critical electrolytes. Simplistic explation referring to the stimulation of the hormones that control this process: Quote from report on Livestrong: Dehydration is the term used to describe an imbalance between fluid needs and fluid loss: when more fluid is lost than is required for normal body processes, dehydration may occur.by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Murray - Very often in studies that are appropriately blinded to r/o placebo effects, the subject has no idea what drug they are taking. If I were you, I'd want to have certified if the drugs will be identified or blinded in each case and consider very carefully if you really need to or want to participate in this trial. gehauser... I'm glad it was as "easy" as that. As noted on the Evoxac's side effects website, readers are invited to report side effects. Since arrhythmia isn't listed, it would undoubtedly be useful if you went there and reported your experiences. , Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Alex - I'm in the middle of a yard project while the weather is hot and dry ...so give me a day or two. You can start by googling amyloid plaque, Alzheimer's and nattokinase... lots of into but I believe I have a study showing positive results. I also have a couple books discussing nutrient support for Alzheimer's and those wishing to provent it. The best LDN website is thaby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Hi Shannon - Definitely, very good news although as we said all along, you're in the very best of hands with Dr. Natale. Relax and take good care of yourself and your recovering heart. If anyone deserves NSR, you certainly do! Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carol - there have been abundant nutritional evaluations of plant food and the nutrient content over the past 20 years or so indicating that once the soil is farmed year after year, and the naturally occurring nutrients are used up in each annual crop, there is little left for the current years. Farmers use fertilizer for quick growth, but they aren't putting back into the soil the mineralsby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

McHale... being on flecainide full time...in my experience... 300 mg daily in divided doses... did not keep me out of arrhythmia. I went from afib a couple times a year to nearly full time afib on that dose over the course of six years. It was totally life-altering as my events were uncomfortable, debilitating and dramatic. My experience with optimizing the electrolytes allowed me to go fromby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Katherine - I'm sorry for not responding more promptly. There have been numerous afbbers using Tikosyn along with the various nutrients suggested in The Strategy and thus far, nothing has been reported as an interference. Several people prescribed Tikosyn have also been instructed to take supplemental potassium to help keep those levels up to maintain NSR. My thought is that forby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ten years ago, we used to put in a 'call for angels' when someone was embarking on their ablation trip. Please join me in sending your best wishes, good thoughts, positive energy and prayers to Shannon for his ablation procedure with Dr. Natale tomorrow. Best to you, Shannon. We look forward to hearing your news. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
gehauser... I'm responding to your comments interleaved as you listed them: Thanks, Jackie, it's always good to hear from you. Many stimulating ideas there. I am continuing at 1100 mg Mg/day (my current tolerance), but the Mg increases my blood pressure (dunno why) and I had to start Benazepril (ACE inhibitor) to counter that. My comment would be to look to your potassium intaby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Mark m.. A couple points for your consideration. What is 'a lot of caffeine'... ? from coffee? If so, realize that coffee is a diuretic and that helps deplete your electrolytes... magnesium, potassium, calcium, sodium...... Caffeine is also stimulatory and while it doesn't affect your sleep, it can be just too stimulating to your adrenal system... in that it keeps your strby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Murray - For those not on warfarin/coumadin....the blood viscosity issue is a concern - always... thick blood tends to clot more easily. Blood viscosity is 4 times thicker in diastole than systole and this has tremendous implications for increasing atrial size. You can increase blood flow by blood donation and proper and consistent hydration. Even if your blood doesn't 'qualifyby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Tom B - yes... I did have an ablation... after 8 years of attempting to find the right combination of nutrients. Although back then, we knew quite a bit... we didn't know nearly enough about the importance of optimizing IC saturation with magnesium and then making sure that potassium was also optimal as we do now. In the last stages of my attempt to cure my AF, I went from events everyby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Tom, for my Natale ablation, he had the EP Fellow-in- training do the prep work and insertions. I had no problems with insertions, just severe hematomas afterwards at the insertion sites because of my sensitivities to coumadin... a normal patient would not experience what I did. If you are concerned, call and ask your EPs nurse. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Your comment, Mg and K supplementation helps a lot, but it requires more and more Mg as the months go by is very telling and extremely important. Start reading the recent contributions by Erling on Magnesium so that you understand it is THE absolute #1 critical core nutrient for your heart function and all of the other cells in your entire body. You must continue to take as much magnesium as yby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Lynn - thanks for your valuable contribution and awareness alert about the potentially damaging affects of some of the stronger antibiotics and especially those with the toxic fluorine origins. I have experienced personal testimony from patients' experiences of similar stories and damage. The neurotoxic long-term effects are dreadful. Paul - if you try the ginseng, the preference for adrenal support is the American Ginseng (panax quinquefolia) root standardized to contain 5% ginsenosides... 100 mg/dose. This is typically combined with other adrenal support herbs such as Eleuthero root, Ashwaganda root and Rhodiola Rosea... plus specific B vitamins so that the whole blend can balance cortisol levels and help support the HPA aby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks for this Todd... Dr. Sinatra covers that blood thinning aspect in his online discussions on Earthing. Victor - thanks for posting your success story. The basic elements you mention are indeed all key to helping solve the AF conundrum. However, in some people who have become nutritionally imbalanced for long periods of time, it may not be as easy as your experience or totally effective. It takes a lot of time and testing to learn what systems are not functioning properly as a result of nutritioby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Brian Ultimately, the choice is still yours. It’s unlikely that old or new studies shown to your cardiologist will convince him/her to back off on his/her opinion since as of yet, unfortunately, nattokinase hasn’t been added to the recommended list of managing blood viscosity as the Standard of Care The old (original) studies nailed it early on… nattokinase has powerful anti-clotting…anby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Tom - The facts are that the majority of the population is low on magnesium. In the afibber population, most all test low or deficient in magnesium. That’s just one fundamental fact. When you call out for ‘studies to support the need for magnesium or another nutrient”… keep this in mind: The problem is and always will be that people want ‘studies’ to prove this or that and it is unlikelby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Todd - Dr. Bihari's work with LDN is legendary. At least 5 years ago, one of the afibbers also developed ankylosing spondylitis... very painful and debilitating. He was receptive to learning more about LDN and was able to access it where he lived in Europe. The results were 'miracle-like' and he often wrote me to rave in amazement at how good he felt and what he was able toby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Hi Ben - that's great news. Very glad your procedure was easy. Post ablation, my heart was very calm for four years and then I had periodic breakthrough events that I converted easily with the PIP medications. As a result of these surprises, I reversed that trend by carefully optimizing the core electrolytes and essential heart support nutrients and wrote a report.. The Strategy. Hello Mary - I'm sorry you are having so much difficulty. A number of afibbers using Tikosyn have reported the need to make sure their potassium levels are optimal. I believe it was Louise who was told by her EP team to watch her potassium levels while on Tikosyn. This would also include an evaluation of how much sodium (salt) you take in from packaged/prepared food sources, as sodiumby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Murray - you're correct about statins... but it's often considered standard of care to reduce inflammation which can be done easily by less harmful means but a patient is unlikely to to told to use the natural remedies. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Barb - yes, your comments are right on. Start reading the links on magnesium deficiency and cardiac fibrosis that interferes with electrical connections as a potential source or cause of arrhythmia.
