Tom B- You responded to me in another thread that you have chronic prostate inflammation. That inflammation easily could be a driver for your afib as well as adding to fibrosis accumulation.... blood circulates to every organ and the inflammation doesn't remain exclusively in the prostate. Before you consider ablation, you should get that inflammation under control so your heart has everby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Tom - Gosh - I'm very sorry that you are still in afib. I'm concerned for you. What do you intend to do about it? Are you doing anything to protect against clot formation and release? Keep in mind that the action of magnesium on stabilizing heart cells is inside the cell and supplements or even adding IV to the serum doesn't guarantee that the magnesium is automatically flooby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ron - your progress is impressive. It's good that you found the gluten sensitivity as it can contribute to other neurological problems if left undetected. While you may be able to drink some alcohol and not have AF, remember that it depletes both magnesium and potassium. Through dietary intake alone,if you can manage to keep your potassium levels up to where they need to be for the imporby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ron B - yes, indeed. If you haven't taken the time to calculate your daily intake of potassium from food sources as well as the intake of sodium from all packaged and processed foods.... just taking 400 mg of potassium probably isn't going to cut it. Many afibbers report using the potassium gluconate powder sold in bulk form on Hans web vitamin link (above) where a teaspoon of poby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Tom - I'm typing this quickly.. "on the fly"... but wanted to respond with my thoughts... The Exatest will show what electrolytes are low or out of ratio/balance. Just taking magnesium for X period of time in no way guarantees that the magnesium is optimizing inside heart cells. Test, don't guess. From those results, one can begin to treat appropriately. However,by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Phyllis - Thanks for posting your Exatest results. Since you are well and finally have no arrhythmia problems, it would seem that your best approach is to continue on with optimizing your magnesium dosing... stress depletes magnesium and stress seems to be prevalent in many people these days. Any drugs taken also deplete magnesium, so with your high dosing of warfarin, not surprising to see yoby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hi Alan - These are reports and observations on Afib and natural remedies that help in a majority of cases. When heart tissue is loaded with fibrosis, that complicates everything and often the basic remedies aren't effective without other protocols to help address the fibrosis. Tom - yes. years ago, a number of people here reported they went for ablation and had to return for a second procedure for right side flutter ablation since the afib had masked the presence of flutter. Now they check (or should check) all of the potential problem areas and ablate what shows up. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks, Tom P... I was asking because at one time, information said that it was unlikely that one would self-convert from a-flutter, although, some afibbers posted here they did self-convert from flutter. My first thought would be that in many people, the detoxification pathway is on overload and can't clear the drugs easily or efficiently from your system.
