Alex - I know. This is aggravating when specific instructions aren't provided. One of the issues would be if it's an amino acid supplement. In that case, the recommendation is away from meals so that the aminos in a meal don't compete or overwhelm the supplement aminos. Taurine (a non-essential amino acid) is an exception in that it's recommended with meals to avoid stomby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM

Ben - when magnesium isn't able to be absorbed efficiently and utilized inside the cells, the best and quickest method of repletion is the IV or IM administration if one has access to a medical professional who is able to deliver it for you in that manner. If you haven't read this about magnesium absorption, it may be of interest. Jackieby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Thanks Hans for your critique. I haven't done as he suggests-- to check all his statements that overheating is oxidative stress producing against the published literature but I may email him with a copy of your argument for his response. Oxidative Stress/Cellular Damage Affects Everyone This is an Awareness Alert. Life is energy; without energy in our cells, we die. We cant live without fuel and oxygen, yet from the process of metabolizing food and breathing, we are exposed to oxidative stress or free-radical damage. The goal then becomes protecting our body from harm.(1) My notes from various sources and webinars have beenby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Erling thanks for posting this and the March 2011 update. I'm going to order PQQ to see if it helps with my mitochondrial dysfunction as a result of statin damage. I've been watching this for a while and have been on the fence, but Dr. Graveline's progress is certainly encouraging. Jackieby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Alex - It's tricky when you try to manage your nutrient levels yourself without knowing "why you need to be where." For instance, potassium...if you have AF, you want to be closer to the upper range rather than at the bottom if symptomatic...ie, ectopy or AF. Same with other measurements...it depends on the nutrient and what you either want in the way of effect or what youby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Liz sorry to hear your brother is still struggling. That venous insufficiency issue can take a long time to resolve. Ken - cinnamon is said to help lower blood glucose. From what I've heard on that topic, even for that purpose, you have to take very large amounts for any effect. Regarding LDL... what you want to avoid having is Oxidized LDL...that's the culprit along with knowing about your LDL particles. David - for heart health, the Omega 3 fish oils are considered to be better. Choose one that delivers a relatively high EPA content so you can get at a very minimum around 2 grams (2000 mg) or more a day. My doctor advises at least 4 grams a day of EPA for me... reduces inflammation, keeps blood platelets slippery so they don't clump an form clots. Erling - yes, indeed, very benign compared to the dangerous statins. Natural anti-inflammatories such as generous amounts of Omega 3's, CoQ10, green tea, curcumin, boswellia, ginger, quercetin, rutin, rosemary, resveratrol and proteolytic enzymes. Zyflamend is a combination many of these. None have the detrimental effects of statins. Jackieby Jackie - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Just put some oil of oregano mixed with olive oil or jojoba oil right on the boil area. That is highly antimicrobial. It's too hot to use plain so the oil tones it down. You can either buy the liquid OO or capsules and just open. Ingesting the OO will also be highly antimicrobial. Same thing, consume with olive oil so it doesn't burn the tummy.
