I have a question on Pradaxa.... regarding cost. A friend's father recently was switched from warfarin to Pradaxa so he could be cardioverted. He developed AF after surgery. (often typical side effect). He had trouble meeting the INR requirement so they wanted him to use Pradaxa for a month, be cardioverted, and then continue for another month. The price he was quoted was $500 a month.by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Cindy - unless you will be supervised with the nattokinase and warfarin together, you should stop the NK. I took vitamin E, C, and fish oil while on warfarin as supervised by my physician but I didn't take large amounts: 400 IU of the E, 2,000 vitamin C and about 2 grams of Omega 3's.. but I wasn't on warfarin very long... only about 12 weeks. Hi Gary - A true nattokinase is isolated from the vitamin K2 intentionally. There should be absolutely no residues of K2 in nattokinase. So, yes,you do need to take K2 MK7 separately. If on warfarin, then you have to limit the K2 intake since interference is noted at doses of 100 micrograms. Janet - Yes on both counts. My initial research into NK indicated that combining both NK and aspirin should be done with medical supervision. That's difficult since most doctors don't know anything about NK.
