Darcy - yes - Oil of Oregano is among the other herbals...Very effective. It comes in gel caps so getting it down isn't a problem. I recommend the North American Herb and Spice brand in the extra strength version designated as P73 and the best price I've seen is right here on Hans' website. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dick - I have some thoughts on your questions, but am very occupied this weekend. I'll be posting in a few days. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Earl - great news. Good for you to have determined to which foods/substances your body reacts. Long may you live in NSR. Thanks for sharing your success story with us since it may serve to help guide others. Be well, Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Oh my Peggy! I am so sorry to read this post. If I lived there by you, I'd be your 'wheels' in a heartbeat. I wish you well for this next ordeal. I have friends who have experienced lithotripsy with success so I'm hoping that you have the same experience and zero pain. Positive thoughts and energy heading your way. Geri - those herbals are well known to kill some types of parasites. There are other herbals that may also work as well. I don't see any problem with trying the herbals...as opposed to a cleanse which both Darcy and I felt might be harsh overall. So... good luck with this experiment. Remember, also that one course of herbals may not be enough to do those critters in. Sometimes it takesby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Frank - I'm not a fan of caffeine and don't use it myself, but you may be interested to know that some controlled afibbers are not affected by it. Drinking organic coffee is always preferred because coffee beans are the most highly contaminated with pesticides, fungicides, etc. Right up there with grapes, and therefore raisins or wine. Very often it's the chemical sensitivity rby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
The Free T3 and Free T4 are the meaningful tests. This means it is free to function and if it's not 'free' then it's bound and not helping with function. The complete thyroid profile will include the T4 and T3, the Free T4 and T3, TSH, Reverse T3 and the thyroid antibody tests....Thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPOAb); Thyroglobulin antibody (TgAb); Thyroid stimulating hormoneby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Gregg - a serum magnesium shows you are 'normal'....so in terms of afib... do you understand what that means? Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Geri - You are definitely not wrong. If you need an ablation, then you should seek out the best EP you can find. If you seek help from naturopaths or functional medicine medical professionals, then that certainly is another option, but again seek the best. Michael Murray is a naturopath and one of the most respected in the US if not globally. They just take a different route for treatment..by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Tara - In the section called Conference Room, there is one session on exercise that you may find useful. After the main article by Hans, there is input from members and I'd like to post this part on ribose and heart energy. If you could see a video clip of a heart that is laboring in afib during an open-chest surgical procedure, you'd understand why you might need to nap after an event... maybby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Barb - acupuncture opens up energy flow to major organs through meridian pathways. The results can be very subtle or dramatic. My experience was that it did not change my afib at all but it definitely made my whole body feel relaxed. I had 20 treatments by an MD who was also a OMD. Many years before the AF problems, I saw another acupuncturist who worked under the supervision of an MD butby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Geri - You should definitely be tested through a reliable lab such as Genova Diagnostics... the Comprehensive Stool Analysis.... to rule out parasites or a Candida overgrowth. If something does show up, then there are specific products to deal with each type. Going through a cleanse or purge can be very taxing on your body and there is no sense in even considering that without knowing exactby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carol - I did some further searching and apparently Ralph Moss PhD who formerly worked at Sloan Kettering is now writing about the success of laetrile and the fact that the medical establishment covered it up. You may be able to find more with a Google on his name. More than that, I don't know. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Bill - Synthroid only supplies T4. If you can't convert T4 to T3, then even though your numbers are in the range, your thyroid function may not be optimal.... as evidenced by your symptoms... cold extremities. Ultimately, the goal is to take 200 mg 3 times a day with meals and 200 at bedtime.... some people stabilize at less and oby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

gregg - yes - you re correct that the magnesium glycinate is the form to use and it definitely is calming as is the glycine also included. In theory, hormone imbalances may be contributory but I never felt it was or was not to any great extent. Often, people request an MRI instead of a CT scan thinking the MRI is a safer alternative because it avoids radiation exposure. In the past few years, reports of side effects from the contrast agent (gadolinium) used in the MRI are surfacing and are reported in various online articles. Jim - The warnings about contaminants in herbals has been published for several years now. If they are grown in India or China where the environment is polluted, then they certainly are likely to be contimated. Thanks, Laura... This undoubtedly addresses the inflammation issue following ablation. When I had mine, they wanted everyone to use statins to lower the inflammation. Since I was unable to take a statin, I used my own protocols of antiinflammatory supplements including vitamin C, MSM, vitamin E, curcumin, boswellia, Omega 3 fish oil, etc...and I had no problems with ectopics or afib.
