Ray - The label of KAL used to indicate the Albion patent. Perhaps they've changed the formulation. The only difference will be if it is not the true chelate is that there is the potential for the magnesium to combine in the stomach with other compounds as it breaks down and may deliver a bit less of the magnesium... it should not render it 'useless.' Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Chris...that's exactly how ablation is supposed to work. It doesn't prevent the initiation of the abberant signals, it just prevents them from materializing, hopefully. Be patient and just t give the whole healing process time. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ray - if it is the true Albion amino acid chelate form of magnesium glycinate...and I believe KAL is labeled as such... then, no - crushing the tablet will not change how it is absorbed. This patented version of the amino acid chelate is formulated not to require stomach acid for metabolism and as such... however it reaches the small intestine, it is ready to be absorbed once it reaches the vby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Chris - There are various reports about afib post-ablation. When I had mine 6 years ago, I had zero afib or ectopy.... until day 103. Then I had an event that required cardioversion and then zero again for several years. I now reflect that I was low in both magnesium and potassium at that time so be mindful of your critical electrolytes. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

From the latest link: ...." Your legal right to access supplements and herbs will, quite frankly, be a thing of the past. Dave and all - the problem with calculating the elemental magnesium portion seems to be rooted in the mystery of the compounder. The magnesium has to be bound to another component... ligand... and very often the amount of the elemental portion is just a small percentage of the total compound. I find it very confusing and also frustrating because some supplement manufacturers indicate that thby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Janet - the black tongue and sore mouth comes about when you have Candida albicans overgrowth (yeast) as a result of antibiotic therapy. It's a Catch 22 scenario. The antibiotics kill off the good bacteria that hold down yeast populations and when yeast fluorishes, it inhabits the entire GI tract from mouth to anus. Once you are no longer using the antibiotic, it becomes very importantby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hello Valda - I am certainly sorry to hear about your heart findings but at least you have the early detection. It's good to see that Bill has improved so much. I'll be checking at my various info sources and will forward anything I find that would be useful. Plese stay in touch. Regards, Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Janet - I'll let Sharon respond to the question you directed to her, but my thought is why not just treat with the Mastic Gum and see what happens? The Mastic is well known to be effective and it's certainly far less invasive or risky than an endoscopy. Go by Sharon's experience with how long it took to get relief and give it a try. Those products from Klaire and ProThera used to be available thru N.E.E.D.S. but I believe you have to phone for the prices rather than buy online because these are professional grade products. One of the afibbers found that Klaire's magnesium glycinate was the only one she could tolerate with her multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS) and even at that she had to empty the contents out of tby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
If you rely on supplements as I do to maintain health and NSR, you'll want to visit this page and read about the renewed interest in reviving the new bill that involves supplement restriction. I urge you to write to your congress people and strenuously urge them not to vote for this bill. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ivan - I'd wait 3 - 4 months- at least. That way it allows for plenty of time for you to settle into a routine that becomes "normal" for you - including your regular eating plan and supplements plus the chance to slide a bit in your discipline. Testing too soon probably won't offer much variation. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks, Dick. I still don't understand why maltodextrin should be added to supplements at all, especially with a link to a hidden source of MSG. If it's in food products, I can see that the hidden flavor enhancer could produce the 'want more' effect just like MSG. But to a supplement? Please! Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Okay, then... if you are afib free, obviously, you're on the right path. That said, however, even though your results say 'normal' for the range of both potassium and magnesium, I'd prefer to see your magnesium level a bit higher - like closer to the top of the range than closer to the lowest. If you are already at bowel tolerance, then obviously, you can't go higher.by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Lynn - with the magnesium supplementation, be sure you use the magnesium glycinate that is labeled by the Albion patented process... and don't increase the doses rapidly. If you overwhelm the tissue, you'll get the bowel consequences. You want to flood the tissues very slowly. Adding some potassium would also be useful. Again, start with a low dose, like half teaspoon of the potassiby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hey John! 10 months!!!! I'll smile along with you. So glad you decided on Dr. Natale. BTW, when I had my Natale ablation, he used conscious sedation at the time. Liz - just focus on Moore's point that the potassium to sodium ratio needs to be 4:1.... that's the minimum. It's easy to take in sodium...you have to focus on getting enough potassium from food sources...even if you do eat a bushel of fruit and veggies.
