On my, CatlinRo... Thank you for your kind words. It's my pleasure and also my passion to help others. Having been on the receiving side of compassionate help and support, I fully realize how much this forum can help others because back then, I was becoming desperate as well. Caring individuals here reached out to help me and while I never personally met most, we did have plenty oby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello Mike - It's good to see your name again. I certainly agree and echo 100% your tribute to Shannon .... an amazing person. His experience and expertise is a tremendous asset to our forum and a good friend as well. We are all so fortunate that Shannon is the #1 facilitator when it comes to making the important connections and contacts. He certainly helped me when I needed to reacby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yes Carey - I agree. You asked what caused fibrosis and I attempted to respond to that in that it could be the natural lack of enzymes quoting Dr. Wong and also the ROS factor in some. Shannon has extended the overview much more thoroughly. When I first was researching fibrosis, the observations were that not everyone would form fibrosis, but when you had the tendency, it was apparently quiteby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Liz – Could you list the cite for your quote about Grain Brain, please? It’s not appropriate to offer quotes without giving the source cite reference. Thanks. There are many people who are totally unaware that they have wheat/gluten/gliaden sensitivities. Carey You said: I understand that, but what causes the fibrosis? The cause of fibrosis - from William Wong’s report, "Fibrosis… The enemy of life"… lack of fibrinolytic enzymes. While he does not focus on fibrosis in the heart, the association is obvious. He says that around age 27 we start producing less of these important, protective enzymes. Okay Libby and Fibbin - here's a start ... sorry for the delay. Libby - you mention your potassium level was 3.5. I learned that if my potassium was lower than 4.0, I'd be in afib. (That helped me stabilize, but ultimately did not ‘cure’ my arrhythmia. However, since potassium fluctuations are a huge influence on some individuals, it’s important to pay strict attention. Caitlin - thanks. Suzy Cohen typically provides very solid, useful information. Just keep in mind that supplement successes can be highly individualized depending on the patient and what underlying health issues need to be identified to limit some of the predictable reactions. Libby and Fibbin - I will respond in detail soon. Just taking some time off for "Labor Day" and nice weather. Back in the saddle by tomorrow afternoon. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Gordon - I agree about yin and yang. It's always important to look at both sides and that's not typically the case in conventional medical circles. This info on iodine deficiency may be of interest for several aspects… including the importance for afibbers to have healthy, normal thyroid function. jmwe29 - I’m glad you posted your concerns because ‘awareness alerts’ are always important. For seniors, especially, it's always important to question exactly why they need the blood thinner as 'old tissue' is much more friable than that of a 50 y/o and eventually, at some point, the question becomes if it's worth the risk. Sorry, Gordon. I find that GreenMedInfo's library of research studies on natural approaches and detrimental substances is very useful, especially when researching a specific topic. Hello Fibbin... Your comment....... On top of that, I have had some weird tachycardia episodes. Thanks for the important warning. Very sorry you were affected and hope you are feeling better. Even if it's not excessive heat temps, we still need to be very mindful so your alert is an important one, especially for afibbers. It doesn't take long for the body to become overwhelmed.
