Dave - if it is possible - I'd consider getting a second opinion consultation from one of the well-known EPs. It sounds to me as if your EP is uncertain as to how to proceed so don't take chances. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Rob - I'll be addressing the glutamine issue for healing the gut in the last segment - which may be forthcoming in a week or so. It's a long one and I have been taking time out to 'party' with friends so my focus has been diverted a bit. L-glutamine is a healing agent and Dr. Blaylock comments on how to use it wisely. Barry - I realize your source choices are limited but just be aware that potassium chloride can cause gastric problems so at the first sign of any symptoms, suspect the chloride form of potassium. Good luck with your project. Most of us have found that the ectopics calm down or are eliminated with optimal intracellular levels of potassium. I know in my own case, it is extremely beneficial.by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Just as a reminder...a note on warfarin and Tylenol appeared in the People's Pharmacy column... a reader noted that when taking warfarin for atrial fibrillation along with Tylenol, she had trouble with her INR. The response from People's Pharmacy is "While acetaminophen (Tylenol) could be used for occasional pain relief, regular use can raise INR."by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
The Cleveland Plain Dealer reported yesterday a bit more news on the heparin issue. The FDA indicated there were 21 deaths; 12 associated with Baxter heparin and 9 may or may not involve Baxter heparin. The FDA said it was unclear if the heparin caused all the deaths. There were more than 400 reports of severe reactions difficulty breathing, chest pains, dangerous drops in blood pressure, fasby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Theresa - I'm glad you are making some progress. I doubt if you can take enough cod liver oil to bring up your vitamin D levels adequately. I know I certainly can't. You may need to go to a supplemental form - Natural Factors has one...Natural Factors, Vitamin D, 1000 IU, 90 Tablets - thru Hans/iherb website. Janet - there was a recent post on this topic. Here's the link <; It won't hurt to take what you have; in fact you may do nicely on it. We just felt we could get in more quantity if we did them separately - note the doses we are recommending at least 600 mg magnesium glycinate - 800 is often needed. Mike - I'm just wondering why such a high PIP dose? My success in converting is with only 100 mg or a second 100 within an hour of the first dose if I don't convert right away. I'd think it would be better to use as low a dose as possible for conversion. Just a thought. Since you have so few events overall in your history, it would seem reasonable to use the PIP approach as lby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Louise, its really the responsibility of the importing company or US distributor to screen out or assay what comes in to them and to certify or assay again what they sell to the consumer as a finished product. Susan - this is loosely what I understand about the situation. The CCF is has become an affiliate or combining forces with many of the smaller hospital facilities in the surrounding area. Ann - my heart goes out to you. No pun. I found it imposible to work in clinical dental hygiene while in afib so I can't imagine how you can do your job. It could be that the shift change will help. Keep watching as this news unfolds because it could be the start of some interesting policies. While most of us dont use heparin daily, it is used during ablations and other cardiac procedures.
