Robert - Your assessment is likely very accurate as each point you mention is a known contributor to AF on its own, so combined, could provoke 'the perfect storm.' That's a good start to begin by augmenting those nutrients....esp. first with the amino acid chelated magnesium as it offers far less chance to provoke the loose stool reaction which contributes to diarrhea and furtby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Pamela - for some people, caffeine is definitely a trigger... coffee or cola drinks. Others-- no effect at all. The acidity issue from either one often is an overlooked issue in that healthy cells and healthy body require alkaline tissue pH... so unless one's diet is remarkably efficient at compensating for the acid load, then those items can contribute. The other issue with soft driby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hi Travis.... Your vitamin D experiment is very interesting ..... and also plausible. I'm assuming the cutting back and then increasing the D, and your respective responses, point to a calcium influx when you take the extra D. Calcium being excitatory and blocking the calming function of magnesium... thus, ectopics. I, too, am wondering about your 25 OH D levels..so testing willby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
George...Desperate to try anything, I even tried your method a couple times but it never budged the flutter. Thankfully, it did work well for plain, old Afib. You are certainly fortunate to have been able to manage yours with such high success. Good job! Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
George' suggestion is a good one and typically, it does work. However, my experience is that if there is flutter, then that method didn't work for me. I had plenty of successes using flecainide for chemical conversion but once flutter or a combination of both AF and Aflutter were present, the meds were ineffective. Could be highly individual.\, but it's certainly worth giby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Robert - I'm sorry for your distress. We all can relate to that "oh no" feeling when AF rears its ugly head again...especially after an ablation. You've identified an important clue.... that you relapsed a bit and let your healthy habits slide. Probably if we are all honest, we've all done that, too. However, the important take-away is that you recognize scenaby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Fermented such as sauerkraut and kimchi are good for probiotics but you have to eat a decent sized serving consistently and often they are loaded with salt so it can be tricky. The natural probiotics in yogurt are minor regardless of what the food companies indicate. Organic Kefir has somewhat more but a lot of people don’t like the taste. Hi Ginny - I'll respond to your questions soon... I'm out of the house for the rest of the day. Hi Glen - Thanks for sharing your experiences. I'm very pleased that you had the foresight to continue to push with the magnesium at higher doses. Doing it gradually and with considerable time, very often, the results are just as you have reported. So many influences deplete magnesium that often, enough isn't left for proper heart function. Hi Ginny - just a couple thoughts... do you have high stress.?.. That’s very unfortunate. I presume you've read through the package insert. Apparently there is some evidence of mild-to-moderate allergic reactions. Many of these effects can be reversed and prevented. As the 'voltage expert' Jerry Tennant, MD observes: When your voltage is low and you can’t get up to -50 mV, then you are stuck in chronic disease… because the only way you can get well is to make the cells to replace those that are destroyed by various forms of injury. That's great, Steve. I'm so pleased with your continued results. I love that "door" statement. It's a keeper. Phill - I'm glad you are noticing progress. Liz mentions that Dr. W recommends 90 nutrients. The nutritional requirements for health do amount to a high number and if not available through food or the body can't utilize what it takes in, then deficiencies help promote symptoms and physical manifestations. Steve... my experiences are similar to that in George's report. The most important thing is to make sure you keep your intracellular Mg levels consistently optimized. You can't expect magnesium to work as advertised if you don't continually replenish... orally or topically.
