Michael - good news for you. Glad you are doing well and long may you live in NSR. It's really great not worrying about AF. Congratulations. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Similarly, here the small farmer is surely at an advantage if he sticks to natural grazing ratby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Elaine - I can't remember if I corresponded with you before on thyroid issues. I've had them for 15 years or more..... my experience is that Synthroid doesn't work for everyone.... including me. Armour Thyroid is by far a better hormone replacement because it provides both the hormones T3 and T4. Jim - I agree that if your AF interferes with the quality of your life, you should consider a consult to see if you can have ablation by Pulmonary vein isolation. I had mine last November ('03) at age 67 and I'm very happy with the results and peace of mind. The main reason I had the ablation was to become free of the drugs. It makes a big difference. Good luck. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Elaine - Just as a point of interest....I took Thyrosol for about 3 years and had no taste/smell deviations. Of course, everyone responds differently to supplements. Good luck. Elimination and reintroducing one by one after a period of time is probably a good idea. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Kevin - Since you asked, you probably already know that I am definitely anti-statins....and I've posted many times why. After this lengthy post, you'll be sorry you asked my opinion, but I'm really passionate about the damage that can be done with statins and I'm furious that this drug is being promoted at every turn and is even being considered to give to children. I just had to report that I received a call this morning from Ron of the BB who came here from Florida to have PVI with Dr. Natale on Thursday. He's in NSR and doing well. I'm sure he'll report in once he gets back to Florida and is settled. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Kevin - yes - definitely. I've been off it now for over six months and much of the problem has resolved. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

He was an alternate EP for me if I decided I couldn't wait for Dr. Natale..... mainly because of convenience...since I live about an hour away from the Cleveland Clinic. Elaine - odd....loss of sense of smell is supposed to indicate a zinc deficiency. But since you have added it....???? Try eliminating each supplement one by one to see if anything changes. If your thyroid Rx (Levoxyl) is a trigger, but you still test as hypothyroid, why not ask to be placed on Armour Thyroid? Hypothyroid as well as hyper thyroid can also be triggers for AF.
