Since the calcium/vitamin D connection was mentioned earlier, here's a report from Medical News Today relating to the importance of Vitamin D. Take advantage of natural sunshine as vitamin D expert Krispen Sullivan, CN, advises in her book, Naked at Noon... to get out in the sun between 10 am and 2 pm... exposing as much skin as possible for a very short duration daily... but not so long itby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Steve – Thanks for reminding that there is more to the calcium intake story than avoiding supplements. However, the warning is still relevant and also very important since many multi-vitamins and fortified foods include additional calcium…so in that regard, they are supplements and often people are unaware. Thus, your cautions are are also definitely important. Since one of the main negativeby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Steve - hot weather and exertion = dehydration and low on the critical electrolytes. You probably were feeling symptoms of both. It's good to hydrate well with pure water continually throughout your activity and be sure to add in some magnesium, potassium, sodium, and taurine. Hi Monty - latent bruising when you are on an anticoagulant seems to be common. After a surgical procedure, there is maximum swelling in 72 hours and often little bumps or traumas show up as small hematomas that increase in size during those 72 hours. Often applying ice packs - on and off for 15 minutes at a time helps prevent further expansion. That happened to me on both my recent ablatby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
The caution for any detox program is that it must facilitate removal of the toxins once they are "freed" or become unbound. If left floating around in the blood and continue to circulate, they'll re-deposit eventually in various tissues and organs and will result in damage and problems...as RonB mentions with his hearing loss and afib. George - thanks for posting the important reminder that K2 MK7 is critical to help avoid soft tissue calcifications. As I read down through Steve's post, I made a mental note to post a reminder since those results are science based. Well, Liz... you responded with information in your post that indicated the trial was for a month. Is that accurate or not? It's conflicting to make statements and then become vague about the time reference which is a very important and critical point when evaluating magnesium intake efficacy. Histamines and arrhythmia Most often, when we talk about histamine release, we commonly think about responses to allergens. A typical description of histamine’s function would read something like this: On a general level, histamine is a chemical neurotransmitter produced by the body during an allergic reaction, most noticeably causing skin, nose, throat, mucosa and lung irritation (itchinesby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Be aware that magnesium repletion can take many months and often longer than a year to notice improvement and it's an ongoing commitment. A month of a trial of WW reflects nothing other than not enough time for an accurate assessment. In light of the very important current posts on the role of Magnesium in reversing Afib, this is a timely reminder to all readers (especially new readers) that stress is a major depleter of the essential mineral/electrolyte, magnesium. The minimal research into the nutritional basis for most all diseases always harkens back to the money to be made by patenting drugs and/or obviously expensive procedures.
