Could you explain a bit more. For example do you mean you take a normal breath in and exhale fast or slow? Then hold your breath for as long as you can? Then repeat for a couple of minutes? Or do you take a normal breath in and blow out hard and fast as you can, then repeat the process for a few minutes.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Joe, How long have you been eating Natto (fermented soybean)? 40gms a day should be more than enough, that's about 400mcg vitamin k2, and about 2000 FU's of Nattokinase. Plus you would be getting all the other benifets from Natto. I have also been eating Natto and would like to compare results. Colinby colindo - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Great post George, So the next time I go into Afib I take a deep breath or 2 and hold for 30 seconds or as long as I can. I must try it.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteCarey Wouldn't Natto dissolve the micro clot anyway. Natto removes calcium from the arteries and puts it in your bones, thus removing the source I suggest of the clot in the first place. . The source of the micro clots during an ablation is the procedure itself. They puncture the septum with a large needle, which obviously has the potential to create clots, they make RF burns, whichby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hi Jackie, Isn't there a correlation between blood viscosity and blood sugar levels? I have always thought there was. A more simple test would be a fasting blood sugar test which you can do yourself at home. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carey, With a Chard score of 2 the chance of a stroke is 2% and when taking an anticoagulant the chance of a blood bleed is 3%, is this correct? The odds are better to take nothing?by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hi Jackie and Bill, Thank you for your reply's. I purchased an almag-01 it cost about $500.00 you can get it from I got it for my wife's benefit, she had terrible nerve pain down her shoulder and arm, she had it for about 4 or 5 years, taking pain meds every day, with her kidney function reducing. I got the almag 01 on trial for 2 weeks, but after only two day, two treatmenby colindo - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM

Hi , I have been on the 5:2 diet for about 4 years now. That is normal eating for 5 days and 600 calories on the other 2 days. I have Monday and Thursday as my diet days. When I first started I lost quite a lot of weight but I also seemed to get afib sometimes the day after a fast day, so now I restrict my calorie intake to 900 on the fast days and have no problems. I would recommend you have a look at the 5-2 diet. I have been using it for about 4 years. It requires you eat normally for 5 days and fast for 2 days. On the fasting days you eat only 600 calories. I chose Monday and Thursday for my fast days. I sometimes found that the day after the Thursday fast day I would have an afib event. This was a rare event though. I have since changed to 900 caloby colindo - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Hi Dean, I was going to try natto but didn't like the "natto is positively disgusting" part. What I am trying is kefir which is much nicer to take and my results have been No Afib for three months, which is a world record for me. it's still early days but I have my fingers crossed it will help me similar to how natto has helped you. It's all very well for the expert doctors to tell us we need 8 hours sleep. But what they don't tell is how, when at 4.30 am I wake up after 6 hours sleep and I'm bright as a button. No way can I get back to sleep I have tried all sorts things. I take magnesium before I sleep and it makes no difference. I have been a 6 to 7 hour sleeper for as long as I can remember. Hi Larry, Interesting topic, I am looking forward to what Jackie has to say. I know that some alcohol is high in tyramine, not sure about scotch though. I think alcohol seems to be the trigger but not allways, it's like a buildup of something needs to happen first. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM

I sleep 6 to 7 hours a night. I can't seem to get any more than that unless I take a lorazepam, and I don't take that very often. except for afib my health is very good.by colindo - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Hi, I wear a Fitbit all the time, and it has no affect on me at all. I find it very helpful for, Heart rate, resting heart rate, steps walked per day, I can see approx. how long I have been in afib. Also duration and quality of sleep. I find it very handy. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
If you want to see the effect alcohol has on the resting heart rate, you only need to get a fitbit tracker and you will see at least a 10 bpm increase.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi George, For what it's worth. I have been intermittent fasting for some years with the 5-2 diet. I eat 2000 calories for 5 days and 600 on the other two. My fast days are Monday and Thursday. What I found was that when ever I got afib, it was on a day after a fast day, not every time of course. I probably have 6 to 8 events a year now. I use PIP which cuts the duration down to aby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hi all, I wonder if there is any up to date information for the low level transcutaneous electrical vagus nerve stimulation (LLTS) to suppresses paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. Thanks George also for those links to Ivor Cummings videos. After watching them I have decided to ask for a CAC score test (Coronary Artery Calcium), that is because there is no LDL particle size testing available in NZ. I have sent Prof. Ken Sikarus (pathologist from Melbourne) an email regarding my high LDL level asking what his thought are.
