Hi Namor, In your reply you said " the age-related decline in autonomic nervous system leads to hyperactivity of cardiac intrinsic autonomic nervous system. In lay terms, if the signals from the brain to the heart become too 'weak', then the cardiac autonomic control centers (the ganglionated plexi) become hyperactive" I ask from all, how can we improve these weak sigby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
There is a drop test which I believe is more accurate. To perform a drop test, simply fill a test cell with sample water, add buffer and indicator reagents, and swirl to mix. The sample will turn red if calcium hardness is present. Next, add the calcium hardness reagent, swirling and counting each drop, until the color changes from red to blue. Finally, multiply the number of drops used by tby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
George, I wonder if the liquid Mylanta is stopping the Afib? Earlier this year I was on losec for 10 days and I didn't have an afib event for 2 months following. I have just started taken them again, 1 cap. every 3 days. Too early to tell yet. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi jackl, Have you been to see your acupuncturist for 7 months, is it on going. What does this treatment cost? Do you have medical insurance to pay for it? -Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Researcher, Could you give any more information about, ” Example would be New Zealand where the busiest center was around 15% complication rate during their first year with something like 4% perforations and they wrote about it.” Do you mean they are not the best place for an ablation? If so, do you know what Centers to avoid. Colin from NZby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
I use the roll of paper that comes with the unit for Calibration and saliva texting. I use distilled water and tissue or toilet paper to clean up. Thanks Shannon for you're reply.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thank you Tom and Shannon, for that information, I thought my unit may have been faulty as I needed to calibrate each time I used it. I would recommend Hans to order an extra solution set though. Since using it, I have found something unexpected and that is a high reading when I have an afib event. Without taking potassium supplements I register 4.5 to 5, mostly on the higher side (4.8). For the last six days I have been having skipped beats in clusters of 2 or 3 every 2 minutes, approx. With the same symptoms as Afib. The strange feeling in the stomach, choking in the throat and head ache that won't go away. Is this Afib? Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Tom, have you tested your potassium level when having an Afib event? I have found my level to rise. I am having PVC's for the last couple of days and find potassium levels high and I wonder why? Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks GeorgeN, It would seem potassium supplementing should fix things, the only problem is, I can't take it, it puts me into afib. In any case my potassium levels are already high, yesterday 4.9 mmol/L and 4.5 today. I take 400mg magnesium a day. I need to be careful what I take as far as supplements are concerned as I have only one kidney.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
I have had skipped beats now for 3 days. They occur between half and two minute apart, randomly . Is there something I can take to stop them. Any suggestions?by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Larry, I just noticed the little battery symbol is on, have ordered new batteries. I must have left it switched on. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
I have had a cardy meter for six months and I am getting inconsistent readings, is this likely to be flat batteries? I seem to have to recalibrate a lot. I can take 2 readings one after each other and have 20 difference, eg.1st reading = 70, 2nd reeding = 90. Is this normal? I expected better consistency. How often should one expect to replace batteries. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Dennis, I did a search and got no results.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
I have just started supplementing with potassium citrate capsules (99 mg). 5 caps, twice a day and I am getting some burping and reflux is this to be expected? Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Barb, Hans, I am about to try a low dose of 25mg sprironolactone for 30 days and see what happens. I have one kidney so l have to be careful with side effects and supplementing potassium. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM

Ivan, hows your afib, are you still free? I found losec helped me and have been free of afib for 2 months now. I have now stopped taking losec daily and instead take DGL twice daily. I take losec maybe twice a month. I don't know how it works but it does for me. maybe the experts can explain.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
I think it may have something to do with gas build up. I found by accident that losec helped me. After having afib approx. every two weeks, I have now been episodes free for six week. due to some side effects I am trying DGL. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
