Nattokinase may prove to be better than any blood thinner and it has many other advantages, read Dr John Day blog.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
A New Zealand afibber was getting afib about every 4 days. He purchased a Kardia ECG tester and took reading along with his blood pressure several times a day, and revealed a correlation between his blood pressure and his arrhythmia, he notice a spike in blood pressure a couple of days before Afib. He told his cardiologist who suggested he half his blood pressure meds, but double them when he sby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Flec did that to me, it's not afib. It's a vibration feeling, I thought at first I was having 1:1 atrioventricular conduction. But i think it's a relaxing muscle fluttering. It occurred with me when I was about to drop of to sleep, then I started to get this feeling, it scared the hell out of me. I had the heart monitor on me at the time but it showed NSR, so it's nothing toby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
This is what Hans Larsen thought of sotalol. From my first book: "Sotalol (Betapace, Sotacor) Thirty-eight (22 vagal, 3 adrenergic, 11 mixed and 2 permanent) afibbers had tried sotalol. Not one (0%) had found it beneficial although one vagal afibber thought it might have reduced severity, but not frequency of episodes. Twenty-nine (76%) of all users reported side effects with 11 actuaby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
But is it the right ratio for afibbers??by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks George and wolfpack for that explanation.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Quotewolfpack I'm also grandfathered on the $10/month thing. If I weren't I'd be upset about that, too. I have never heard of grandfathered before, what does it mean. Are you happy or unhappy to pay $10.00 a month. or Do you now have to pay $10.00 a month??by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Liz, look into garlic and fish oil. I understand garlic is simular to aspirin. Below is from Hans book "Garlic, in many ways, acts similarly to aspirin."by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
There's no guarantee with Eliquis is there? Natto does a lot of other good stuff besides thin blood. How often do you have afib?by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
This may be worth a read Pemf cured my wife's nerve pain that she had for about 5 years.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
I agree with you Liz. Of course there is always Natto (food) or Nattokinase for low risk, and it does a lot other good things besides. check this link This just one reference, there are plenty more.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteGhost I'm 47, very active - jog every day, martial arts 4 times a week. I think a lifestyle change may stop your afib, if you cut back on jogging to a brisk walk and see how that goes. Also goto afib resources (tab above) and have a read of the The Strategy in fact all of Jackie Burgess reports, I think that will help you.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Adding Natto (food) to my diet has made a big change to my afib burden. I also watch what bread I eat. I prefer wholemeal and if I can get it, low carb. which is 40 to 50 % less carbs.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Nattokinase is far better for you than nothing. Get any brand with this trade mark NSK-SD Also check this linkby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi George, Now you mention it, I to get elevated heart rate after pushing myself too hard, which is slow to recover and have to take it easy, and rest. I haven't up till now taken anything but water, I will try taking magnesium in the future. I hadn't noticed this in the past before my fitbit,...... I could have saved me some episodes.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carey, My way of thinking is, a stroke is more likely if you have, should we say bad blood. Has any blood tests been done on those who have had strokes?by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
I would stay with NSK-SD productby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteElizabeth Colindo Which blood thinner was she on? How is she doing? Liz Its one of the newer ones but I am not sure what brand, I will ask her.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteCarey And I ask why, why is my stroke risk after 10 years now 18.3%, what has caused that.? Is it my lifestyle, maybe? Your risk didn't change. What happened is math. Stroke risk is usually stated as risk per year. So if your risk of having a stroke in one year is 2%, over the course of 10 years you incur that 2% risk 10 times. As safib explained, that risk adds up. It's nby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Quotesafib Safib, you assume an ablation is an option for all of us. I also dont believe your stroke risk goes up yearly, and thats my opinion. Which used to be allowed on this forum. It is not that your annual stroke risk goes up, it's that your cumulative stroke risk goes up (cumulative meaning your risk over a period of several years). The simplest model to explain this is coin flby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM

Quotewolfpack This whole theory that afib is a lifestyle disease is a crock, in my opinion. Lifestyle can influence it and make it better or worse, but it's not a cause. I concur. I got AF at 6’0”, 170 lb, BP 115/70, running 35 miles/wk, eating a zero-fat diet and, of course, not smoking. What was I supposed to do to rend the “Scarlet AF” from my chest? My dad got AF at age 50.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
The thing is Carey some of us don't believe your theories. My sister started blood thinners 12 months ago, today she in the hospital with a stroke and blood bleed. Thinners didn't help to stop her stroke.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Never the less 98% chance of not having a stroke are good odds. No one is going to guarantee taking blood thinners is going to improve those odds much.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Quotesafib Well Carry, If you change your life style, cut out alcohol, reduce weight, lower blood pressure, eat low carb, get off the couch etc. You will reduce your afib load and change your CHAD score to a point where you won't need any blood thinners which will stop its calcification action. A better alteritive then would be nattokinase or Natto as well. It's at least thinnby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Sorry Carey, spelling is not my greatest strength. Nattokinase. I wonder if there was money to be made from it, would we see evidence of its effectiveness?by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM

QuoteCarey The vast majority of afibbers on this forum have drastically altered their eating habits and lifestyles for the better so vastly diminishing their risk of stroke from all causes. They have? Not sure if that's true and how you would know it, but even if it is true, what's the stroke rate for people on this forum? From what we can tell its about Zero.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Quoteanneh I have been using Cardiovascular Research Mag Taurate in the morning but recently discovered it was found high in arsenic in 2016 and there doesn't seem to be any way to find out if they eliminated the cause.
