Jackie, I love LipoC and take it daily. Need to order some more boxed Monday to take with me to San Fran starting May 1st through May 8 for the Heart Rhythm Society Scientific Sessions 2016 Conference. Am looking forward to this conference and will include a summary of the latest news and trial from the EP world in the next AFIB Report I'll wrap up and send out around mid-May shortly afterby Shannon - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Some reasonable size photos are fine, but also please let's keep the size of Jpegs and attachments not too big if possible. Once we finish the website/forum revamp we should have a good deal more flexibility and ease of posting photos, PDFS, multimedia links and attachments. Its okay now just keep in mind this older forum platform it's not set up to post these files that easily, but somby Shannon - AFIBBERS FORUM
As George has noted from his very indepth explorations, a gradual shift into a ketotic (or is that Ketogenic?) state is wise all around rather than attempting too radical of a transformation from the body adapted to using glucose when switching to ketones as one's main fuel source. I thought they might nix the Multaq at first Smackman just to see if it might convert on its own, but keep that date for the follow up in any event when you have it set. Cheers! Shannonby Shannon - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yes SAFIB, there are some afibbers and people in general who cannot tolerate larger doses of magnesium without getting magnesium induced magnesium deficiency too as explained in a recent issue of The AFIB Report with an article shared by Dr Jonathan Wright, renowned integrative holistic MD from Harvard Med School and diector of Tahima Clinic in Washington state Seattle area. Yes you have to be careful with both Rogaine and Propecia. However Tsco, you simply have discovered that rogaine can be triggering for you and those prone to AFIB/Flutter.. The fact that you are triggering with it now still is a smoking gun indicator there is an unaddressed flutter circuit that needs that touch up for closure to insure truly robust solid NSR. Ha Sorry for the delay in reply 'eagle-eye' Alangford 😉 I've been swamped now back into creating the next AFIB Report. And yes, you caught a good shot of the back of my head with me filming a live procedure with my Iphone! Many thanks to for finding and posting this excellent summary video about what EP Live is all about. It really is one of my favorite conferences that us held evby Shannon - AFIBBERS FORUM
George is right Kristina and welcome here to our forum! Dr Natale will know some good clinical Cardios or EPs that is a colleague with in he LA area for sure, and I can help you locate such a doc if you send me your contact info via a PM (private message) link beside my name at the top left of this post. Erika, Did you have these and if so please describe the ablation you had. And a pericardial effusion is technically a bit different from a tamponade, but if not treated promptly and fully can lead directly to a cardiac tamponade ... which essentially is a perforation of the heart. That typically requires urgent action to address. The main future issue is not infrequently a greater likelihooby Shannon - AFIBBERS FORUM
Smackman, Sorry to here about the flutter but keep in mind you had long-standing persistent AFIB for an unknown but over a year of duration and have now enjoyed over two years of arrhythmia-free living from a single ablation by Dr Natale! Great to hear TomB, that things have settled down well for you now. Good job of following three with all The steps including good eating and smart exercise as well as finishing up a solid ablation process and not getting side tracked half way through. It often takes a touch up to a good foundational index ablation to put the genie back in the bottle for the long term. Be well and keep droppinby Shannon - AFIBBERS FORUM
Tim, You know the drill as we discussed keep your eye on the ball and finish this out in Austin. Glad you set the date it will be here before you know it. Welcome Tonigirl, BHRT (bio identical hormone replacement therapy) done properly will help not hurt your AFIB control efforts and can have a major impact on overall health for the better. Partnering with a very experienced BHRT/Functional Med doc is a key ingredient for best success (not surprisingly). Be careful with too long such a list based primarily on a selection criteria that the EP has an EP or HRS fellowship after their name. Those kind of lists tend to include far too many EPs that may fit that broad criteria, yet may not be deserving of such merit as a top ablationist without careful discrimination between highly experienced high volume operators and a lot of relative greenhorns asby Shannon - AFIBBERS FORUM
I like the EASE product from EASE by Activation Products it is Mag Chloride Hexahydrate which is the most highly and quickly absorbed of the topical magnesium products I've tried ( and I e used almost all of them at one time or another). Hi Ron, Great to hear your symptoms (whatever the actual source of them was) are now subsiding significantly and you can more fully appreciate your NSR all the way. Hi Researcher, The current view on phrenic nerve palsy from the newer second generation Artic Front cryo system , as noted repeatedly by various speakers from both the EU and US at both AF Symposium 2016 and EP Live 2016 this past January and early March, was 6.4% on average. Great to hear from you as always Denver.. I concur with Anti-AFIB about the Bystolic. While a given drug will impact different people in different ways, I also found Bystolic even at a low dose of 2.5mg in the past was ideal for lowering a post ablation elevated HR that was mildly uncomfortable down to 60bpm and with little to no other systemic beta-blocker type side effects. Sounds great Alangford and congrats on the half marathon and the wisdom of not going for a bunch of ultra ironman events now in response to the big event :-)... Thanks Researcher for asking for a clarification from Kaiser. It does seem too that Dr Young was making a good faith effort to answer you inquiry and clarify the circumstances in which that 90% success claim is framed. Hi Tsco, Any of the ephinephrine based drugs as decongestants or beta-agonist (which are opposite of beta-blockers) that are commonly found in inhalers for asthma or COPD can trigger the flippies. Good idea researcher to ask for the specifics behind that new claim, will be interested in any data and quality thereof that you receive.
