Exactly well said! Reduce the risks go one of the best! My fear is my autonomic problems will trump any holistic corrections -- the healthier I get, paradoxical sympathetic reactions to increased relaxation will still trigger a-fib. Therefore, I am thinking a physical barrier such as that provided by ablation lesions might be necessary to stop the perseveration of arrhythmia. But the risks of tby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ron, I hear you same here already had a stroke last year. I was in AFIB yesterday working out and don't really know what my heart rate was as the the treadmill only would catch it at 179 then it would drop to 79, 99 then disappear again till it would synchronize and catch it again. I guess we're both going to the best. Good Luck!by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Shannon, Thanks just ordered mine with overnight shipment. Hopefully I get it by Monday or Tuesday at the latest! Did you have a script #? I got one from my cardiologist a few weeks ago! I wish I had it this weekend as my heart has been doing jumping jacks even though I'm pretty sure its afib.by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
RonB, Who did you book an ablation with? From your posts you seem to have figured or on your way to solving whats wrong in your body? Just curious why the ablation since you seem to be better? I'm at 4 years and just booked with Natale in 12 days.by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM

Stephan, Yes I can stay on Xarelto right up to the ablation which they already offered me on May 29th......!by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Stephen, Good to hear no remodeling or enlargement. My atrium shrank from 4.4-4.6 to 3.0 cm after being on Flec for 13 months after my last stress test showed on 5/12 last year. Hopefully it stayed the same even though I haven't been in rhythm about 30% of the time. We're you on any blood thinners before or after? Anybody? I'm trying to find out if I can stay on Xarelto bby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Shannon, WT......You mean I can't go back to pounding down Tequila shots, sucking down Margaritas, Binge drinking, gorging myself on steak, ribs, fries then hitting the gym during the week to bench press 345lbs and leg press 1000 lbs! Man I thought you were a fun guy!!! McHaleby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Shannon, Thanks again for the informative and priceless post. The former executive director of St Luke's who will remain nameless I consulted with a few months back told me he does conscious sedation which scared the daylights out of me as I've heard other posters say they felt almost every burn. That is an amazing explanation of using general anesthesia to control breathing and movemby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
I'm assuming general anesthesia .......Shannon? I guess conscious sedation would be The Twilight Zone.by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Okay as long as I'm in the twilight zone I don't care what they do down there..........well almost!by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
afhound99, Was that Foley insertion after anesthesia?by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Marvelous this like the worst part of the ablation. Do they insert the Foley caths after they know you out for heavens sake?by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ron, Good I was in sweet NSR for 4 days had a great workout got home and boom palpitations almost positive it's afib. Supplements in my book maybe help some but eventually the beast eats you alive. Too much afib now heart hurts. Really want this ablation now so glad Natale is here. This is scary the way its progressing. Ron good luckby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yes I will AFhound! I changed the date to May 29th instead of the 28th at 8:00am. I see him before he starts the 3-4 ablations he's doing that day. He will meet with patients before and after each ablation. Who is this guy........amazing!by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Montos, I'm in the same boat it's time for me now that Natale came to me in New York. Consulation end of May then I'll book something in June when he gets back from Texas. Tired of trying this and that and waiting for the next new drug to pan out or new procedure. Dr Jais and company at Bordeaux and Natale are on the cutting edge of any new technology and masters at their craft. Iby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Jayhawk that's exactly what's happening with me frequency increasing already had a TIA in September and now it's messing with my head and well being. I'll go persistent soon I think if I don't take care of it. Even when i workout now it sets it off with increasing frequency. My cardio mentioned amiodarone but then he balked doesn't want to give it to younger patiby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Okay I'm booked for a Dr Natale consultation on May 28 at 8:00am and ill probably schedule the ablation that day on his return in June! I'm nervously excited to say the least!by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Steve, Check your pm. Where did you have yours done in Boudreaux? You're from Mass if I remember?by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Barb, Now wondering who to go to is over here in New York as we got one of the best. The others I'm sure are great but this is a no brainier now. Waiting for FIRM or some miracle drug now is not worth it now with my frequency increasing. I'll let you know how it goes with Dr Natale.by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Shannon, You're the man! It's just that the reality is hitting home that I must do this and I'm all out of excuses now since I got NATALE here who is simply one of the BEST. I've tried everything to sop this with supplements and cutting down heavy weight lifting. In hindsight I was getting AFIB for years before my May 2009 diagnosis but they were short bursts that didn'by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Mauricio, Thanks for the nice encouraging post. I needed a push and today I faxed all my medical records here to Dr NATALE. Will see him in New York next month.by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
I just spoke with his secretary for a consult He's already started doing a few ablations last week Guys encourage me to do this!by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
afhound99 how bad was your afib before your ablation.....? how was your recovery and are you glad you did it? I'm mildly symptomatic but becoming more frequent and lets not forget my TIA on Sept 5 this past year.....I'm still nervous about the whole thingby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Barb, I just went thru a bad cold for 3-4 days used Advil cold and Sinus with no problem. So now that Natale is here about 2 miles away we no longer have to sweat on who to go to........I think it's time for me. Flec is only holding me in NSR about 70% of the time....but the symptoms are not that bad just uncomfortable. What to do..........by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yes he will be practicing here.........by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
I had a dream that Natale was coming to New York to treat me...........now I wonder why?by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hey Researcher, Glad you're still here been to busy to post much just working too much and living life. Yes there was lots skeptical frowns and moans in the crowd when one of Dr Narayan's presentations was about FIRM only without PVI durinf the 2013 AF Symposium. I too also wondered if the cardio-vest can also target rotors like FIRM and eliminate the need for unnecessary burning andby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dr Narayan is now doing FIRM without PVI with better better results than PVI. Another poster from another forum is having FIRM only on her paroxysmal afib it done today. Her episodes occurs every other day.by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
