Hi Shannon, Okay got my MRI last night and I was released today. They did find a recent tiny white spot near the area that would have controlled my speech in my left lobe so I did have tiny mild ischemic stoke. I also had 2 other similar older tiny ischemic spots that probably happened years ago. I guess I dodged 3 bullets now. I also asked the chief neurologist should I be concerned and he saidby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Tom My cardiologist is putting me Xarelto once a day 24 hours fast Acting protection 1-2 hours.....wonder if this would be good for PIP Too? Hans looks like my TIA puts my Chad score at 2 now What does that means in terms of ablation? Can I eventually wean Myself off? The neurologist told me I would be at the same risk at general Population with a successful ablation?by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yep those are the 2 doctors I'm going to see I just had mini-stroke or TIA Leaving the hospital now Dodged a bullet big timeby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
You don't unless you get an EKG Or a 24 hour holter monitor What I thought were PACs or PVAs was afib and I just threw a clot Thank God it was minorby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Barb, They keep bumping me for my MRI I don't know if it would be wise to risk natural blood thinners now! Im opting for Pradaxa or the once a day pill my cardiologist Told me about...... I forget the name? Starts with a Cby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
No just fish oils I did take Klonopin about 30 mins prior due to some stress at work after my first day back from holiday weekend How could you tell if it wasn't afib related? It actually felt like an out of body experience..... My two bosses were asking me questions and All I could do is smile at them.....then they called 911 but before medics arrived I was talkingby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks everybody I feel like I have a family here. Very grateful! Tom C and Tom B, Glad I heard from you two since we are in all very similar situations. Appreciate your concerns and well wishes! This is my wakeup call! Waiting for an MRI and EEG? Feel fine passed all neurological physical tests last night And CAT scan was clean. For a guy who was so fit I can't believe this!by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
I'm in the Stroke unit now...... Marvelous!by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
I don't seem to have any neurological effects of a stoke Cat scan was clean doing an MRI tomorrow so the're keeping Me overnight ,,,,,, hopefully no damage I had a chads score of 0 so now I'm wondering how useful that was Currently in NSR but I know the the weekend was scary palpitations Trying to get a hold of my cardiologist to see what blood thinner I should Go on,,,,,I gby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
In the emergency room looks like I suffered a mini Stroke. Im okay but couldn't speak for 10 minutes so my bosses Call 911. Now I know why I was scared this weekend! They trying to determine whether to relase me. Hopefully I escaped any real damage !by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM

Lisa, I should have said probably many of us. I'm just echoing the frustration Barb feels as I'm approaching year 4 now and getting very worried I'm remodeling. Holding out hope for FIRM or atrial specific drugs I guess...............I was scared again this weekend haven't felt like this in a while!by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hey Barb, I was going to post something similar had a bad weekend trying to contain this beast probably over indulged in the good life. One of my employees had a massive coronary a few months back had 2 stents put in to stabilize her and returned a few weeks ago returned to do 2 more stents. She had no choice do it or die. The fact that we can wait it out only prolongs the agony and inevitableby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM

This guy puts out very informative videos mostly dealing with hairloss and steroids and sells nothing.I believe he is well educated and a lawyer and dedicated body builder. He did an experiment megadosing on fish oil and dramatically lowered his cholesterol and increasing his HDL.. Interesting watch. Actually no Flec has no effect on Sinus rhythm rate at rest but Flecainide significantly slowed the heart rate at all stages of exercise. Getting off of it should not raise your resting heart rate but during exercise your rate will go higher than if you were on Flec.by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hey Larry, Same here taking Flec and Metropolol waiting it out till ablation hopefully FIRM is perfected.by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Tom, Take some Ambien and goodnight!by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
There's another technique Japanese too I believe where the EP waits 20-30 mins after ablating an area; then after spraying area with some type of chemical he goes back over the ablated areas to see check for correct and full ablation lesions that will be durable. This may add Fluoroscopic time but might be well worth it I hope my recollection is pretty accurate........by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM

Ted, What's your CHADS score? How old are you? Most clots are dislodged when you when you go into NSR so if you've been in constant afib you just might have been lucky till now.by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
