You picked another good one my man, seen him on TV and the NY Times. Dr Dangas who did my mothers Sapien valve was also poached from Columbia in 2010. The link you posted looks like no open heart is needed for most aneurisms? Anyway Best Wishes for a Speedy Recovery McHaleby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
After 50 a colonoscopy should be repeated every 5 years on average and sooner if they find polyps.by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hey Dennis, When I got your PM it immediately triggered a recollection that my Ao Diameter is at 4.0cm but ascending aorta and descending thoracic aorta are of normal caliber with no atherosclerotic disease. Aortic valve is trileaflet structurally normal with no regurgitation. It was about 3.1 cm 10 years ago. The last 4 years my echo's show the size seems to have been between 3.9-4.0 cmby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM

Wow you've been doing your homework, A+ for you. Now whether insurance will approve an MRI or CT scan is highly unlikely. Since I already had a TIA 15 months ago and at 5 months months post-op from a Natale ablation I would like to know my shape too once we decide to stop the Xarelto. However Natale told me it doesn't matter what shape my LAA is if I'm no longer getting AFIB.by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Natale was also one of the first EP's who didn't require switching patients back to Warfarin prior to ablation. I was able to get ablated the same day I met him since I was already on Xarelto for 9 months. Truly a master on the cutting edge of his field.by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Shannon, Here's another new blood thinner with a mode of action probably like an Xa inhibitor like Xarelto with 21,000 patients followed for 3 years apparently with a great safety record. Any thoughts?by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
I brought up the PIP approach with Natale during my consultation and ablation back in May. He agreed with me that if I had known about Xarelto's fast ramp up time during on and off AFIB during prior to my TIA after labor day weekend 2012 that would have been the way to go. I told him I knew I was going to get a stroke that weekend, it was just short episodes of AFIB for 4 days maybe lastingby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Lon, I too had a TIA on 9/5/2012 before I had my Natale ablation 5 months ago. Just curious after 2 years did you start getting persistent symptomatic afib that led to your stroke or was it silent? Just curious why you didn't start a blood thinner? Could you provide some details? McHaleby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
My gut is telling me he'll end up at Lenox Hill North Shore LIJ. They need a rock star! There's where Chintz was heading till NYU Langone I'm assuming countered the offer. # McHaleby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Jim, Great news, seems like Natale had the magic touch even back in the early days. I'm 5 months out myself, getting ablated only hours after my first meeting with him. McHaleby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hey Buddy, Good to hear! McHaleby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yep that's exactly right Shannon! If I had and knew about the fast ramp up time of Xarelto last year when i was going in and out of AFIB over the Labor Day weekend I would have used it as a PIP. I told my brother that weekend I got to get ablated before I have a stroke and sure enough 3 days later I'm in the ER. As soon as Dr Natale landed in New York I was one of the first to get aby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Tom, Going forward get some Xarelto and use that as a PIP in the event you go back into afib and it lasts longer than 48 hours before you get an ECV. McHaleby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Jackie, You can't have it both ways being against ablation and now bashing Flecainide instead opting for natural treatments. Show me a more effective AR that's safer? Amiodarone now that has iodine........ Not everyone is ready for ablation and there are many on Flec for 10-15 years on the other forums. You seem to be all over the place with all due respect with all your postings.by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Funny watching CNBC right now and they are talking about the hidden skyrocketing costs of the new healthcare plan that the administration is trying to keep from the public.......by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Flecainide is safe and effective MADRID, SPAIN. Flecainide (Tambocor) is a class 1C antiarrhythmic drug that blocks the inflow of sodium into heart cells thereby slowing conduction through the heart. It increases the atrial effective refractory period (the time span during a heart beat in which AF cannot be initiated). The drug is highly bioavailable in its oral form (90-95% bioavailabilitby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM

I met with Dr Natale for the first time and had a great talk on May 28th for 45 minutes, 2 hours later he ablated me! I met with 4 other EP's earlier this year but never pulled the trigger, was terrified. Tells you something about the man and his character, I was elated when he said do you want to go now!!!!! This was at St Lukes in NY City where he first started doing his ablations in Mayby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hey Barb, Lot's of work related stress, working and installing some large electrical units and cooling projects right now and other issues at work....... Shannon has spoke to me about L-Theanine, need to keep on a steady weekly regimen Went to see Natale after 2 months but he never told me when to come back after I stopped Multaq. I guess as we discussed the next ablation if needed wby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dr Oz was a brilliant surgeon who has really sold out for celebrity fame and fortune. He operated and replaced my good friends wife's moms aortic valve before he became famous and wanted him for my moms surgery. I really question anything that comes out of his mouth and take it with a grain of salt.by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hey Andey, Welcome aboard, glad you're going with Dr Natale as we discussed. Been crazy busy at work so I haven't been able to respond much. Just ask him like I did. Dr Danik was present and listed on the ablation report but I'm assuming he did the EP study since he is director of the EP Lab Best, McHaleby McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM

Barb, All good almost 4 months now. I do get the occasional run of pacs/pvcs bit those have somewhat subsided as the weeks go by. No more Multaq for over one month, just staying on Xarelto for now. Just need to keep my stress in check............by McHale - AFIBBERS FORUM
