I have been curious about the effect of using CBD oil made from hemp (without the THC found in marijuana that causes psychoactive effects) for the treatment of chronic pain, inflammation, and anxiety. Many of us with a-fib are taking one of the newer anticoagulants... Eliquis, Pradaxa, Xarelto, or Savaysa. There are few pain medications that we can take except for Tylenol and it is not effectivby JustMeToo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks for your reply I am currently on the Diltiazem but not so sure I’m tolerating it as well as I tolerated the Atenolol. I think you are right when you say that I have had it for some time and the atenolol was keeping it under some control and stopping it brought it to light. I am feeling so much adrenaline even on the Diltiazem. Feelings of flushed face and chest, increase in heartbuby traceyf45 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Everyone I’m new to this forum and newly diagnosed. I was put on Atenolol 17 years ago to help control migraines. Last month my cardiologist ( was refererred to her because I had Right bundle branch block show up on a recent EKG) told me to stop the atenolol...cold turkey. I stopped the atenolol and 2 weeks ago had an episode of racing heart. Went to ER and was told I was in AFIB. Theyby traceyf45 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Where is my AFib experience ? Can’t find it.by lds001 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi, there a discussion on anxiety and Afib over in My Afib Experience. What you describe sounds very common. Some people start meditation and some do other things. I just hope I have enough knowledge about Afib that I know if I do have an episode it won’t kill me. You have to find ways to relax. Good Luck!by CindyH - AFIBBERS FORUM
Does anyone get a discomforting feeling in upper stomach below sternum? I had afib had an ablation and take 50 flec morning and 50 flec evening and also take 25 Toprol ER at night. I also take zantac for gastric problem. Today while playing cards i felt a rush like almost panic but held together but then i feel like i get anxiety because i feel i might have palps or afib but i didn't.by SteveDaley - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks, Jackie, for the welcome & the reference - I have a read a lot about endurance exercise and AF, but had not seen that thread. I'll definitely dig into the links! It's really easy to find advice that warns against too much endurance exercise, and much more difficult to find specific recommendations for continuing to participate in a way that reduces the risks, so I am paby kbog - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yesterday I posted about my anxiety about starting Eliquis for my AFib.....first let me say I totally understand the potential problems if I dont take it....so I m motivated to Get on board even though my anxiety is through the roof. I called my EP office today to educate myself and get support to start Eliquis. In the course of our conversation I found out that I can no longer take NSAIDS.by lds001 - AFIBBERS FORUM
I have been busy with my heart health. Had a stress echo which showed no heart disease.....that’s good. When I was seeing my Cardiologist he reviewed my Zio patch results with me as I do not see my EP until June. My Zio patch .....7 day.....showed no AFib...but did show significant SVT. .....488 episodes in 7 days.......maybe that is why I am not feeling very well .....most episodes lasting aby lds001 - AFIBBERS FORUM
For the benefit of our many new readers, this review and update is a reminder about the important role the amino acid, Taurine, plays in health and longevity. And, most importantly for Afibbers, Taurine’s role in electrically stabilizing and supporting nerve cell membranes (especially, heart cells) to help promote stable heart rhythm. While taurine is by no means a new discovery, as it hby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

I’m fairly new to this group and have only had 2 Afib episodes. I have not had a stress test done in about 5 years and my Cardiologist wants me to have it done. I saw my EP about three weeks ago and did a Zio patch..still waiting for the results....but they will have a bunch to look over. Tomorrow is the day for my stress test and I am so darn anxious about it. The last few weeks my anxietyby lds001 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Chris - another consideration for your early morning elevated HR - it might be that you become hypoglycemic by the time morning arrives. I have personal experience with that. Depending on the timing of your last meal and what you ate or drank, if not sustaining enough, it can promote hypoglycemia (low blood sugar/ glucose) and the symptoms of that can include increased heart rate, increasby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello! My name is Linda. I live in Minnesota and I am a senior citizen. I have had 2 afib episodes....One last April and one in December. Both resolved in a few hours. I have always dealt with anxiety on and off...but this AF has really kicked my anxiety into high gear. Also, for background, I do not tolerate medications well at all. My first Episode was caused by wearing a Heavy Duty Mask at Work. Not sure if it was from the Anxiety of looking funny, or from restricted air intake, or a combination of both. I stopped wearing it, and never had another Episode for 12 years. Generally, AFIB is too complex for elimination of a Reversible Cause (Trigger) to Permanently stop it. Multiple things are going on to cause AFIB.by The Anti-Fib - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Sue, I'm new to this site too. Don't have any Good advice for you but you are not alone. I have been in and out of Afib since August last year. Steady since January 19th this year. I'm hoping to find some good advise here too. Looking for anyone who has maybe tried following Pharmacist Ben Fuchs or Dr. Joel Wallach with the Youngevity supplements. I wish you all the luck and hoby dgolden - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello...I am new to this site, and I have already found it very helpful. I find the anxiety afib causes is the worst part, just never knowing when it will start. Oh, do I know about the anxiety issue. Ever since having my first afib this year, I sit awake some nights listening to my beat. I sleep on my side so the heart beat is easily - all too easily - felt. Steve I concur too with Carey’s suggestion to park the KARDIA in your drawer for a while. It is a very handy tool but overuse beyond the initial intro phase can be a real problem often only feeding and encouraging a neurotic relationship between the device and excessive anxiety. Just try to use it only once on rising or when you notice an arrhythmia, but don’t reach for it every time you get an eby Shannon - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hi Steve - For the reasons you mention, I've not been inclined to monitor with gadgets how my heart is behaving. After 22 years of dealing with this, I've learned that it's better to do all the helpful things in my personal regimen which includes supportive nutritional supplements, smart eating, exercise and optimal hydration and not obsess about missed beats or let them make meby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
If the Kardia helps you confirm you aren't in afib, then that is good. Hopefully its use is reducing not increasing your anxiety.by GeorgeN - AFIBBERS FORUM
I think you making to much out of an occasional skipped beat. Normal People get occasional skipped beats, that have never had AFIB. If they are regular and ongoing then you should address them. When my PAC's get bad enough, I walk and breath deeply to relax that usually helps. If they continue, or if I can't walk, I talk some Diltiazem a Calcium Channel Blocker, that diminishes thby The Anti-Fib - AFIBBERS FORUM
