I am taking the supplements from the web site vitamin shop. I take the Doctor's Best 200mg Magnesium, the Now Potassium gluconate powder, and the Source Naturals Taurine powder. In the a.m. I take one magnesium and I mix 1 tsp of potassium and 1/2 tsp of taurine powder in water with a little G2 (low sugar gatorade) in a glass of water. I drink that over the next couple of hours. I do theby Sheila - AFIBBERS FORUM
Well its 3 months post ablation and things are well ok. I did have some heartburn for a while but that seems to be easing off. i am still on the sotolol 80 mg morning and evening. I was on 120 before ablation. I did have two early periods of afib that corrected themselves(that didnt happen before) and since those not much has happened. I do feel some anxiety at times if i feel something in cby steve Daley - AFIBBERS FORUM
Jennifer, "are you still experiencing some skipped beats, PACS," Yes, but I don't worry about them. I generally monitor with a recording heart rate monitor & can see PACs & PVCs. These range from 0-2/hour generally for PACs & 0-20/hour for PVC's. I generally do not feel these - just see them on the monitor. George Eby has had a number of recent posts. Claire, Great to hear your story and results. i had my ablation Aug 1st and had same afibs 2 weeks after but have dropped off. I am however on meds and coumanin. He did lower the meds and the next time I see him he will take me off all the meds. I too am quite worried about the response. I guess when you have afib for years your anxiety level is sensitive. Good luck to you Steveby steve Daley - AFIBBERS FORUM
Phil - I recently posted on sleep remedies... see here: <; You may find that taking magnesium glycinate - 200 mg. at bedtime will help significantly in reducing the heart activity. I presume you are saying it is not afib, just some flips and flops. If you haven't been reading here about our suggestions to take supplemental magnesium, potassium and taurine... please check out Confeby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Greetings to all, I've been reading this Forum extensively and have been incredibly blessed by the numerous insightful and helpful posts. Before asking some questions, I thought I would share my journey with 15 years of Afib across three continents and probably more than a dozen different doctors. Inspired by the testimonials of Conference Session 61, I will attempt to follow that format, so myby Christof - AFIBBERS FORUM
Steve: It's been nearly 3 years since my ablation and I've had no afib or flutter return. Having said that, I, too, get a lot of anxiety every time I sense ectopic beats or even stomach upset, muscle spasms in the chest, etc. What works for me is to follow those feelings with the thought train I learned when in Afib; i.e., properly treated afib will probably not be what causes your uby Gordon - AFIBBERS FORUM
My favourite way to combat anxiety is by practicing the Power of Now or Power of Presence. Hi, Steve, I can now totally relate! I was originally fine after my ablation, but after a week in the hospital, then discharge and return through the ER, I've also been dealing with anxiety. Sometime the L-theanine helps, but I've resorted to getting Atavin and taking sleeping pills - both prescribed by the local E.P. I try not to use them daily, and to alternate which I use, and toby Darla - AFIBBERS FORUM
Steve - rather than a drug, why not experiment with either L-theanine or GABA to see if that takes the edge off your anxiety issues. I certainly am a fan of L-theanine and I find that if I am faced with a stressful situation and have not taken L-theanine, I will be anxious and also experience some ectopy. It's worth it to me to keep some on hand and I even carry some with me. It doesnby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Steve, an anti depressant can work wonders with the situation you describe. They can calm the free floating anxiety and put substance and pleasure back into everyday activity. 3 mos. or so of one of the ssri meds may give you just the rest you need to regain your medical confidence and deal with your situation.by greg - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hey Steve, Hey maybe hypnotherapy and/or yoga might be an option for you. Here's my experience with anxiety and afib: Most recently for me, I thought that my increasing anxiety was bringing on my afib. It would start as a "feeling" in my chest. Next I would think of virtually anything or even look at anything and get anxious about it, stupid, I know. And then sometimes thisby John - AFIBBERS FORUM
Steve. I am one who felt "it can't happen to me". When I was diagnosed with A Fib and it quickly went to an every other day situation I elected to have an ablation as I wasn't doing well with meds and couldn't identify any triggers. I went nine months in blissful NSR and once again felt "it can't happen to me". I ended up having ablation # 2 which was muby Cynthia - AFIBBERS FORUM
I have suffered from anxiety or worry if you want to call it from afib and now ablation since this whole thing started years ago. Hi Adrian - Good to see you posting. Hope all is well. I've posted this clip from Mildred Seelig's book, The Magnesium Factor, several times but here it is again so you can get the idea of why calcium is so detrimental in the heart cells of afibbers. Optimizing your IC magnesium stores is critical, but right along with that comes making sure the potassium levels are also optimal because thby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
I had a mini maze on 8/5 I was feeling fine until saturday. I have symtoms like I am in Afib but my pulse is 83. I am on Amioderone and beta blockers. Can I be in Afib with a slow pulse? Symptoms are: tight chest, short of breath, anxiety, stomach hurts, sort of dizzy. I've been battling pneumonia so the doctor said. Please if anyone can give me an answer.by Linda Matteson - AFIBBERS FORUM
The word "magic" was not in my post. That was not what I was asking. That is a way to describe my situation though, but I would not have said magic but rather faith. The question is to those who have afib and have had success with the supplements. What kind, to what extent, how soon did they have results. I recently heard a comment in a nutritional product review which helps explain why we dont need to worry about taking taurine singly or worry about the risk of unbalancing our amino acids. There is no such thing as L-taurine taurine is not an exact amino acid there is no L structure, it is just taurine. Taurine functions as a regulator of electrolytes and is extremely important in sodiumby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Pam, Several years ago a VA therapist taught me how to use "thought field therapy" for symptoms of ptsd/anxiety attacks. Today another name for it is Emotional Freedom Technique. Barbara: Very sorry to hear about your mild stroke - was it a TIA? AFibbers, as you probably know, have a very high incidence of stroke, so I would strongly advise you stay on coumadin (at least until there's a better replacement drug). Because of an underlying heart condition, it's been strongly suggested that I go on coumadin too. I'm currently using Nattokinase, but if I had aby David Price - AFIBBERS FORUM

I was diagnosed with a-fib about four years ago and took atenolol without any problems.
